Do you still have your 1st knife?

First knife: found by me and my twin. Still have it.

I used to buy gift store knives so no. I've lost many of those throughout the early years. When I started getting into knives more (about 3-4 years ago) I initially bought a knife that was a seatbelt cutter and glass breaker. Thought the multi-utility aspect was unbeatable.
Haha, crazy how our knife tastes change so much. I still have that one, though it just sits in the car.

Yupp I still have it! The wife has grown fond of it so I don't get to carry it very often.

No. My mother took it away from me, 51 years ago. It was one of those old scout knives, with the plastic stag handles, duel screw driver and can opener, large and small blades. Found it on the street.

First knife was a SAK, I think the camper model. I abused the crap out of that thing.... I still have it, the red handle scales are broken off (so it's wrapped in camo gorilla tape) one of the end plates is kinda bent and the scissors are broken....

It was a CRKT Mo'Skeeter lockback. Bought for me by my father nearly 20 years ago. It is in a case somewhere. Not sure where, but I still have it.

Yep. Victorinox Classic SD, in Victorinox Red. The more experienced in the knife world I get, the more I appreciate that little powerhouse...

Nope, mine was a cheap lockback my dad gave me that was duller than a fencepost, nigh on impossible to sharpen, and the lock was sketchy :D That thing left not long after I got a safe and useful blade.... haha. It's replacement was also cheap and not great steel, but it could be sharpened and the lock worked.

No but I found one just like it in The Exchange right here on Bladeforums. These were advertised in the back of Boy's Life magazine in the early 1970's. My friend and I saved up our lunch money, stuck it in an envelope and bought two of these.

The member that I bought this one from acquired it around the same time from the same source.

My very first knife would have to be a swiss when i was maybe 5 yo? probably traded it for some new pogs or some bubblegum and cards or some shit. Kids

I can't remember which was my first, but I know it was an American made multi-blade Schrade. I know I still have it, I just have a few and can't remember which was my first. All given to me by my father, who had Schrades all his life and his father before him. But my favorite is the one he recently gave me, a nearly pristine L.L. Bean edition LB7. He never used it since he had a regular LB7 that he still uses today. Wouldn't be collecting knives today if it weren't for him.

Not my first one, but my first folding one:

My uncle gave it to me when I was kid. Hard to say how old I was, maybe ten.
It's Chinese SAK clone but it was well used as you can see. :D
