Do you still have your "first" knife?

My first knife was a Cold Steel Urban Pal.
My first REAL knife was a Benchmade Dejavoo. I ended up giving it to Cutlerylover since I felt that, while it's a solid knife, it'd be better off in someone else's hands. Great knife, but I'm still experimenting to find what works best for my needs.

As for first computer, my parents gave it to my cousins who were going away for college. It was one of those old monochrome command-prompt computers with the ticker-tape printer. Second computer is still around though. Man, I still remember when we upgraded from Windows 3.11 to 95. It was amazing. So many hours wasted on Paint.

I recall that I received my first knife when I was 6 years old. It was a nice folder from back when everybody carried American-made. Unfortunately I soon lost it as well as every other slippie that I received as replacement until I was well out of college. Probably lost a small fortune in knives by that point.

Became much more responsible with ownership once I started collecting knives with my dad in my later 20's.

I still have it. My Dad gave me a large 2 blade Queen Steel slip joint with stag handles when I was 7 or 8 (circa mid-60's). Not sure how old the knife is, but it's in great shape. Never used it hard. Somehow managed to lose my official Boy Scout Knife that came around that time frame or a little later.

Yep, Victorinox with the Boy Scouts emblem on the handle that I was given when I first joined the Cub Scouts maybe 15 years ago. My carry preferences have moved in a different direction, but I keep it in my car glove compartment.

[yes] a old kutmaster 2 blade with green jade scales my grandmother gave me when i was around 6 to 8 years old

Here is my first. My brother and I both received one from Santa one year a long time ago. I think he still has his. I don't know much about it other then it is a red alox SAK and I know it's old because there is just a cross and not the cross in the shield logo for Victorinox. If anyone has more info, like year please let me know

My first knife was a small SAK. I don't have it anymore, it was confiscated in a search at a federal building...

No. My first knife was a no-name cheapie stockman. It fell out of my pocket in the yard and was subsequently destroyed by the lawn mower.

I still have the first good knife I ever owned (Case stockman given to me by me Grandad) and the first good knife I ever bought (Old Timer stockman).

My actual first knife was about a 3/4-inch blade slipjoint from a Cracker Jacks box. Back in the early 1950's you could still sometimes find a pocket knife in Cracker Jacks! It was not very useful. The first really practical pocket knife that I found and carried was the same design as an AG Russell "Funny folder". It was an advertising knife that I found in first grade (around 1955). It literally got me out of a hole in the ground in Palm Desert when I was about 9. I found one like it in an antique mall a few years ago. Anyhow it looked something like this:

I recently found my first knife, a Camilus Cub Scout knife I got from Santa when I was 7 or 8 and I can't wait to give it to my son. He's only 4 so it's in a safe place where it won't get lost again for a few years.

My first real knife was a Buck 110 that I got for boy scouts 30 years ago.
I still have it!

I still do have my fist knife when I came to US. Beretta airlight folder. 3.25" blade. That was so cool back then ;) I still keep it, the edge is the reminder how bad I was with sharpening.

Socom,
Nice knife! It looks to be an older Pioneer. I may be wrong, but I think that they used the old cross on those until '99. You didn't show the other side of the blade, but some are stamped with the year. -Gary

My first knife was some tactical $10 piece of crap spearpoint liner lock.
I still have it somewhere, but it lost all its pins in the handle so it's blade, liners and black metal handles all swing out like a morbid folding fan.

My first 'real' knife was a neat little cold steel ParaEdge tanto. Not a bad little thing, similar to their current tiny pocket fixed blade, although it is a little bigger and better.
My first real folder was a stainless Byrd Cara Cara. Love it. Confusingly sharp.

My fist was an SAK. Like couple people have mentioned I lost it and replaced it and then found the original. don’t know which one was the first and which was the replacement.

Like Skunk Ape,my first knife was a Camp or Kamp King.Bought in like 69 or something like that, anyway,it's long gone.

Yup. Still got the yeller Case Trapper my grandpa gave me. Not sure how old it is, but I've had the thing since I was 7 (22 years).

My first (Victorinox Fieldmaster) somehow managed to stay with me through a tour of the White House (probably about 15 years ago). It lives on my night stand now.

Nope. My first knife was a tiny Imperial branded folder that I bought for $0.50 or $1.00 in the 2nd grade. Lost it. Bought a number of those $1.00 Imperial knives until one day I splurged on a Case Barlow. Don't have that one either. Broke the blade once on it and Case sent me a new one. It's replacement, I still own today.

In most cases, I lost the majority of my knives while rabbit hunitng. Set it down to field dress an animal... forget it.

There is no telling what I would find hidden in my parents home if I actually dug through all my old junk. When I go back, I sometimes spend a few hours going through stuff and tossing things out. Brings back old memories. I still have a couple rifles stashed at my family home from many years ago.... keep procrastinating about making the trip and bringing those back. One is a Weatherby Mark XXII semi-auto rifle.
