Do you still have your first Spyderco?

Mine's not as from as far in the past as some, but I bought this sometime around 2007ish, I think. It's "retired" but I'll never get rid of it.

I got my first Spyderco, a Para 3, because I had a blister on my thumb from trying to open some knives from another manufacturer. I loved the Para 3 except for the BD1N steel, which was hardly better than 420. I gave that one away and got one with Spy27, which was a big improvement. I still carry that one from time to time.

Persistence. Only had it a short while, first exposure to the Spydie hole. Picked up a green Delica 4 not long after that I wish I still had.

Nope. I lost a couple of them working in the Siskiyou National Forest in 1994. Lemme know if you find 'em because I don't buy them anymore.

Yep. I am pretty sure that I picked this up in 1992 (not 1993) - a C16P fully serrated G-2 steel from Seki City, after I lost my childhood Buck knife in a move.

That was my first Spyderco as well, but mine was combo edge. Mine was stolen by a bad trade on the bst forums here. I don't recall my next few Spydercos but when I started buying PM2 and Manix 2 I ended up keeping most of them.

My first Spydercos were bought in the same week, With the second arriving first through the mail. A GB1 and A S110V G10 Manix 2 , I was in "knife" bliss. I swapped the Manix scales and liners with the clear polymer offerings from Karbadize. Ended up gifting that knife to my future son in law (uses daily) and still have the Gayle Bradley.

My first Spyderco was a Tenaciousand yes I still have it. I carried it on duty for almost 10 years. I have only gifted away two spydercos. Both natives. One to my son and one to a fellow officer that did not have a knife.

I had a Pm2 that I was using at an accident. The LEO that was there commented on it. He took it home.
He was surprised that I just handed it to him and told him it was his!!

My first knife was the 20cv Kapara. Liked the action, didn't like how it felt in my hand so away it went. My second and only other is my GB2 which is in my pocket most days.

I actually do still have my first Spyderco. I have had it for a while now and it has seen better days. I was not the most gentle with it. I posted these photos once and Sal was able to identify it as the Economy model (I think that is what he called it).

My first Spyderco is long gone but I still have it on my spreadsheet under the SOLD tab. It was an original Native in S30V that I bought on 12/26/07 at Walmart for $38.97. I remember that I bought it primarily because it was a good looking knife and an inexpensive way to try out S30V steel which was relatively new at the time.

Nowadays, the Para 3 is my favorite Spyderco.
