okay. it seems to me a few ppl in here are only for jokes. but i see some ppl who seem to have a serious interest in wilderness survival so they are the ones i be asking the questions too.



as for knives i already have 8. and i know how to use them properly. they are tools and only to be used as weapons if your being attacked by an animal such as :cougar, bear, dogs, ect...

and i know your prolly thinking what do i need 8 knives for. but each knife has a different purpose. i have a multi-tool, 3 swiss army knives, a collection knife, a hunting knife, a skinning knife, and a tiny little knife thats no good for nothing, but as a tool i aint gonna throw it away.


as for those who figure im BSing ive already said i dont give a shite what you think. believe what you want. and if'n you think im being arrogant or causeing problems...well as i recall i wasnt the one who was bullying the neew guy. i come in here and all of a sudden im being picked on. well gee it shouldnt be me apolagizing it should be you.



and i had another question but in all my typing i forgot it.
 
i had just finished reading the rest f the replies. the questions i am asking is to help me find out where other ppls knowledge lies and to find out how many different ways there might be of accomplishing the tasks that my questions ask. i am not trying to impress or make myself sound important because i dont even want to have anything to do with being famous, popular, or rich. i prefer to be in solitary because ive never been good with ppl and i never get lonely. in fact come next spring i be moving into the wilderness. im going to find a mountain home where i will not be bothered.



for those who are serious about my questions i came in here to teach some and learn from others. but i havent been asked questions yet so dont think im just talknig to hear myself. im waiting for someone to ask me a question and to see if they can stump me or so i can learn.


as for the questino with trout scales and deer skinning. you dont even have to cut off the head and gut it. you can filet it(just cutting of the meat ove rthe bones) and you get boneless fish.
for the deer skinning you start the cutting from the anus then the genitals and from there work your way up to the the ribs.

Yo Griz…dos comedians did the same thing when i axed a simple question and nobody took me serious :mad: …made me wanna thug da damn fools up :mad: ….but dat mite get me kicked outa my anger management class n’ sent back to rikers :mad: ….so i chilld it wit some spliffs insted. :D

We are all still learning and one of the things I love about this little section of BF is most of don't turn our posts into pissing contests. We are students learning. One of the reasons I stay clear of self defense web sites is every one is an expert and all claim to be the baddest guy in land who knows the secret killer style and every other style is inferior :yawn: :yawn: :yawn:

ChrisAloia - I just looked at your profile and I see you are a Kung Fu instructor, very interesting. I don't know a whole lot about the martial arts, but I do find it very interesting. I have always been fascinated by Bruce Lee, especially some of his philosophy.(have you ever read any of his work?) In your previous post you mention something about style, how others may be inferior to another(which will always be). I believe that it is style that limits you. The absence of style allows you to be free and work w/ the situation at hand, instead of repeating a rehearsed pattern. If you recognize your opponents style you can use that against him/her. a quote from Bruce-"Nothing is superior in every respect. You will say, "This finger is better for one purpose; this finger better for another." But the entire hand is better for all purposes." Maybe I am getting into the subject a little too much, I'm sure you have realized these things, I just like discussing it.:D

What kinda fool is this? Do you really think that if a bear or cougar attacks you a knife is going to stop it? GET A LIFE SHMUCK...Troll somewhere else.

Oh yeah and you might laugh at the BB gun I carry around but it stops the cougars dead in their tracks.... :rolleyes: :p :barf: :D

griz where are ya? I am keen to learn of some of your hunting experiences.
My best to date is bowhunting while sitting on the roof of a 4WD. Survival was trying to stay on the roof. The driver couldn't even see where was going.
