Do you use your custom made Busse knives?

I used to have dozens of nice knives I'd look at but not use, but as part of a fairly extreme minimalism kick a couple years back I got rid of all of them. In their place, I added a handful of satin CS Busses...and I use them for everything. The NMSFNO is my dedicated outdoor blade, so I sweat all over it, cover it in Hawaii jungle mud and damp, and chop up all the nasty sap-filled trees that fall across the trail.

My CS Sus Scrofa is probably the rare Busse I could break the tip off if I tried so no heavy use, but it's my EDC and does-it-all kitchen knife. The satin CS SAR4 I got to stand in for the NMSFNO while it was off at the CS got beat on pretty heavily, too, though it's not much fun to chop with.

Was planning to sell my CS SAR3 unused, but Garth's full convex reprofile job has caused me to fall in love with a blade I previously hated. Getting a pocket sheath made for it so I can use the Hell out of it as a more discrete, less scary-looking EDC.

Dr Lecter, I would really like to see pictures of your SUS Scrofa, and kudos for using it as your EDC. I have always been infatuated with hawk bills but when I try to EDC them it doesn't work out.

Eye opening discussion about the other topic, amazing what you miss when you stop frequenting the forums for a few years.

Just enough light left to get some, though the iPhone has a hard time focusing on the tip. Between the swedge and the full flat grind/convex edge, it is very thin. It slices like nothing I've ever used, and I used to EDC an unserrated, convexed Spyderco Civilian...so that's really saying something.

That's awesome! Thanks for taking the pictures. There was a CS one available a short time ago with giraffe scales and mosaic pins for a fair price but I passed, now I'm thinking twice.

Used my old school CS BME to chop up the Brisket's I smoked today. I always make extra for us to consume over the next couple of days and this one was sitting around all evening so it looks a little dry, but it'll soak in jus and be good as fresh when we're ready for it :)
