Do you use your pocket clip?

I clip my edc iwb at one o'clock. It s well concealed, completely out of the way, and so comfortable, I forget it s there. When working outside, perspiration has to be cleaned off.

Mostly no.

The only pocket clips I use are the spyderco deep carry wire clips.

If a clip is too tight, if there is too much friction between the pants and knife, or if it just makes for awkward carry I don't use em.

Yes, I use my pocket clips, but I loosen them up a tiny bit as they tend to wear hard on the pants pockets. Love them on my Kershaws and CRKTs.

The convenience of a pocket clip is what initiated my move away from traditional folders. I can't stand my front pockets being full of accessories. I always carry a minimalist wallet in my front right pocket and cash in the left. My cel-phone will be on my belt or in my left back pocket, I frequently carry a handgun in my right rear pocket. I try to not carry keys any more than I must and when I do they go in the front left pocket. I carry a folder clipped to my front right pocket. If I'm carrying a small fixed blade or SAK it will be in the right front pocket with a lanyard attached.

I knew I'd see you in this thread. I lost count of how many clips I took off for you, Bruce.. :D

Good to see you here, Chris. Yep, if you had a nickel for every clip I've had you remove over the years, you'd be a rich man all right. :D And you do realize that the reason I don't go out and buy my own torx wrenches is because it gives me an excuse to come visit you from time to time, right?

i carry always back right pocket, even when I'm carrying open or concealed at 3 o'clock. I can reach it with my off hand around the back if I really need to, but otherwise it's where I have always had it. wallet in front right, pen if I'm working. gun at 3, knife at back right. nothing back left, keys and maybe phone in front left. nothing to sit on or anything when I'm driving, can reach whatever I need, and seems to work for me.

I did switch my keys up recently, dividing into an "always need" Key Smart that has house, work, and truck key. the other keys and random EDC things clip on to a second ring, so I can always carry the bare essentials.

I always use the clip, my front right pocket is my dedicated knife pocket, I travel fairly light, keys, wallet, knife, money clip. I almost never carry on my weak side unless I'm walking at night and it's often my Cold Steel Voyager XL or my ZT 0560.

Twenty years I've always carried some type of folder (probably Spyderco mostly) and usually a concealed firearm. If I clip my knife inside of my right front pocket I scrape my knuckles getting my car keys out. The keys always seem to wind-up in that pocket for some reason! Can't seem to break that habit? My left pocket holds cell phone and folding money (change usually ends up in truck console) I use the folder mostly for utility work and it would not be first line of self-defense. Keys may beat the knife up a little but that's OK. If I'm carrying one of my dress up folders I keep it seperate in the pocket but still don't use the clip. Am I missing out on something not using the clip?

I always use my clip and whatever pocket has my knife, only carries my knife.

Everyone has their preference.

I for one use the clip like a religion. Keeps my knife in one place all the time, keeps it out of the bottom of my pocket, and makes it easier to get my keys, etc as well.

Always use the clip. I use my right pocket for all tip up, and left pocket for tip down carry(no real reason, it's an OCD thing)
