Do you use your Sebenza lanyard?

Here's a general question. Do you keep the lanyard on your Sebenza or remove it except for "special" occasions" like cutting mono line off a propeller while hanging over the water?

At first I took the lanyard off my Sebbie but more recently I have been carrying it all the time.

I cut off the CR lanyard and reattach 550 cord. When I'm in the field I usually attach an extra long one that goes through my belt loop then the knife is in a belt sheath. Overcautious...yeah maybe, but more of piece of mind for me.
:D

I use the lanyard on my mountaineer, but I find a lanyard on a pocket knife is simply a hinderance.

I removed the original lanyard on my small regular and replaced it with a square red lanyard I made myself. The square lanyard is a little larger and makes it easier to draw the knife from my pocket, and I hope the bright red will help prevent me from misplacing it, or  , losing it.

I have this kind of lanyard with a McGizmo mini-clip and a swivel attached to a belt loop to go for sailing.

I take the original off and tie a small hangmans noose on with 550 para cord. If I think there's possibility of dropping it and possibly loosing it I just put one of my fingers through the loop and and tighten it.

I used to always leave the CRK lanyard in place but on my current Seb I took it off and really liked the less conspicuous look of it without the lanyard. It rides relatively unnoticed in my pocket and still feels great in the hand. Maybe some day I'll go back to a lanyard, but right now this is really working for me.

I took the lanyard off. For regular pocket carry I like it better that way, and the lanyard gets in my way too much.

I'll be fishing next week (boat & stream) so I certainly plan to keep the lanyard available. We'll see how I feel about it for EDC after a while.

I haven't used mine, but it stays on my Small Seb just in case. I also find it makes getting the knife out of my pocket easier, especially when seated.

good idea !! I have found that the stock lanyard helps to draw the knife from my pocket and doesn't get in my way.

I like the lanyards. They don't get in the way and the paracord can come in handy. Yesterday I was on a trip in Detroit and my bag handle (luggage) broke and I unwrapped some 550 I had tied on and jury rigged a handle to get home with. You can't have too much paracord.

i use one on about any knife i carry, it's a pain to get that thing tied just right when you take it off though :)

i have used the loop of paracord on my SAK for a few things, but the specifcs escape me at the moment

My Large Regular is my EDC. I ditched the lanyard pretty quickly.

I knew I would... I didn't like it on the Passaround Forum Seb. ;)

I tried to like mine but, in the end I ditched it. It got annoying.

I'm not one for lanyards, but I left the factory one on to give it a try. I EDC my large reg Sebenza in a CRK (Gfeller) belt sheath and find the lanyard actually speeds getting it out of the sheath (I removed the clip as well). I actually quite like it!

I got rid of mine after about a month. It just seemed to get in the way. They look nice but don't function much.
