Do you USE your Sprints/Exclusives?

I love carrying and using sprints. I don't break up concrete with them tho.....I cut stuff!

I feel the same way- if you are going to keep it and not sell it, then you should use it. But consider it a little bit special enough that you don't try to chip concrete with it. I had a few that I was reluctant to carry and use so I decided to sell them and I bought something else to actually use.

I think I only have one sprint (orange mili), but I have a few discontinued ones. I use them all.

If I like the knife it goes in the pocket and is used, if I don't like it then I'll return/sell it. Sprint or not.

Two Sprint Run Spyders are my most used and EDCed blades. I'm speaking of my G-10 Sprint, C-60 model Massad Ayoob , and probably my most used EDC has been my Sprint Run M390 Military model. Both those blades get a lot of serious pocket time.

A few years back I EDCed my original Burgundy Caly Jr ZDP-189 PE folder. I EDCed it for at least 2 years.

I love the Sprint Runs for EDC>> I'm looking very forward to many new Spyders with the newer blade steels and hopefully some really nice handle materials.

I have sold every Sprint I have ever bought. Don't know exactly why. Maybe because I don't want to mess up a limited edition? Possibly.

I use and carry all my sprints/exclusives. I like trying new steels. My cruwear manix is my garage mechanic knife is that tells you anything. I ended up with two and thought I would have a backup. I ended up selling it to a friend at my cost so he could put her to use. I'm not trying to flip and make money, I think I've only made money on one knife.

I took a pic of my Spyderco folders the other day for another thread and realized only 4 of the 17 are current, regular production items (the rest are sprint, exclusive, or disco'd). I'm pretty easy on my folders in general and some are rarely carried, but the only true safe queens/back-ups that I've never used or carried are the blacked out Para2 and the Caly 3.

22 or my 32 Spydercos are Sprint or exclusive, I use all of them pretty equally (minus a couple that I plan on selling because I carry the others over those 2). Almost all of mine look like new because I rarely carry the same knife 2 days in a row so the wear is spread across all of them plus Benchmade (mostly sprints as well), ZT's, etc.
The reason I buy sprints is to try new steels, which is the reason I passed on the Orange/Black PM2 even though its the only one I don't have in my PM2 collection (already had the satin/orange) and only plan on getting one CPM-M4 PM2 when they come out (probably the Natural G10 over the CF).
