I'm just wondering if people wheir pocket knives as legal wepons that are exposed, or more like gentlemens folders where they just ride in your pocket in your dockers or dress type pants?

I wear mine clipped on unless I am wearing pants that have zip pockets then I have to carry it in the pocket! Kevin :D

If I'm not carrying a fixed blade, in a sheath, then I have a folder (balisong) clipped in the top of my pocket.

My spyderco paramilitary 2 fell out on the couch the otherday, so I just started clipping it on, well on my left side then my larger knife on the right side isnt

I clip my knives, otherwise they tend to turn sideways in my pocket and it is uncomfortable.

I'd go with 'it depends'. I'd need to consider the knife in question along with the clothing I'm wearing - but generally I don't clip knives and I'm not really a huge fan of carrying them that way. Usually I'd put a knife in a pocket or in a pouch rather than clipping it.

I don't clip my knives. If a folder comes with a clip, I usually remove it.
- I use a pocket holster for knives, so a clip is not needed
- Pocket clips don't match dress slacks that I wear at work
- I prefer not to advertise that I carry knives

Almost never clipped unless I'm wearing a shirt that's long enough to cover up the pocket. I think it's more comfortable clipped but as some of you said I don't like the fact that people can see that I'm carrying a knife.

Most people won't be like, "oh he's carrying a tool", instead they'll think, "Man that guy is carrying a weapon!"

Clipped probably 99% of the time, rarely I'll carry something without a clip. I don't like how 3"+ folders ride in my pocket without being clipped.
