Do you wheir your knife clipped or not?

Either clipped or belt sheathed. I hate dropping them into the pocket. unless its a really slim and small slip joint type. I was always more of a clipper but sheaths are growing on me.

Seems its pretty much everyone who clips their knives and i can see why i tried taking the clips off my folders and it just didnt work out...they get cumbersome and even with big pockets they flip around inside the pocket. I liked the ergos of a clipless knife but the practicality of the clip beats it out

I find that a knife that has a larger than 3" blade sort of wallows around in my pocket. I'll tend to clip those onto my right front pocket. Like I'll carry a small Sebenza inside my RF pocket, but a large Sebenza clipped onto my RF pocket. But not at the same time usually! LOL!

Modern folders: clipped
Traditionals; In my pocket
Fixed blades: Belt or neck sheath

All my knives are legal and i carry them primarily as tools and will only use them as weapons if my life depends on it

The whole point of the clip is so you don't have some steel turd wallowing around in your pocket, always in the way, and wearing a hole so it can escape.
The fact all the bad guys can see the clip and move on to a softer target ?
Just an extra, no cost, benefit. :D

It depends... If the knife has a tip-down carry, I'll have it clipped, if tip-up it rides on a holster on my belt. Usually, the 5.11 single mag pouch.

SAKs ride loose on the pocket.

I carry knives with clips , but dont clip them about 70% the time .
Knives here are not technically illegal yet . you can carry as long as you have a suitable legal excuse ... I looked up the reasons that are acceptable , but even tho its written in law , that is up to the cop on the scene as to how HE interprets the law . Usualy that is here crappy looking knife = warning , knife that looks expensive = confiscated , in my experience . ( I found out the hard way if you insist on paper work for the knife being confiscated , you will get more than you really wanted .... if a cop got to write he will also write a ticket for a as bonus AND defect ya car while he is at it ... asing for paper work , even politiely is being a smart alec here . )
In the bush and around home , I carry clipped , when I got to go down town , I slip it into my pocket .

Most of the time it's clipped but sometimes when my wallet is too much, i put my license, a credit card and a couple of bills in the clip and drop the knife in a pocket. I dont really keep a blade on me for defensive purposes so having the knife deep in front pocket isnt a problem for me.

Depends on the circumstances. In New York City, the law requires concealed carry, folder or fixed, so clipped to a pocket is illegal. Of course, with the City's current interpretation, almost any knife can get you in trouble.

Here in New Jersey, I generally clip a tip-down folder in my right rear pocket and carry a Vic. Farmer left front under my wallet.

I have them clipped to my right front pocket. I usually carry my Buck Vantage Pro, which rides very low (that rhymes). If I carry my Opinel, which I tend to use in college quite often, it just goes in the pocket. No clip on that one... I couldn't imagine such a round shape feeling comfortable clipped in your pocket either...

My SAK rides in my left jeans pocket. My B@tman rides clipped in my right pocket. The problem of formal wear not being clip friendly means that I just wear good jeans to work.

In the pocket, not clipped. The only time I wear it clipped is in a swimsuit with no pockets. If there's a significant chance of losing my knife I will belt carry it in a pouch. I won't go to cities where it's an issue, like Manhattan/NYC. In courthouses or airports obviously I don't carry one. Since the changes to air travel I have tried to avoid flying whenever possible, driving instead if I can. I don't like travelling without certain items that I can carry in the car legally.

I am using a mobile program, instead of the traditional site, and can not see if your location is listed. Where are you where your police are actually thieves? If a LEO takes property from you and does not document such, he is a thief. It's that simple :-(

I had a funny clip experience recently. A friend who's actually a knife guy asked "is that one of those tactical pens, in your pocket?" Apparently, my clip does not look very knifey :-)
