Doctor Knives on Parade

Here is a photo of Ginger and I.
She is about 2-1/2 years old.
We adopted her from the APL here in town.
We have had her about, ohh...........6 months now.

She's a mixed breed, that's all we know about her lineage.

Ginger was a birthday present to me from my terrific wife and daughter.

Ginger is a great wunder-puppy!!

Keep Care All,

Pappy

Love Dr's pattern folders. Great knives posted. Nice of Pappy to start this thread and give a few away. This could be sub-titled the Generous Forum. A folksy group over here!

Here are a few tools, with a story behind the knives. Early Don Hanson doctor's. Probably made around 1994 or 1995. These were made for a collector friend of Don's with white and black-lip pearl. Part of the collector's collection was stolen but recovered later on. The pearl had cracked in one of the doctor's after some abuse while missing. When I purchased these from the collector's widow, I had Don replace the pearl with this contrasting ivory.

Wow - canineforge those are some great needles! Old school, before they came swedged on the suture material. Makes me want to grab my needle driver and stitch something! Now, where did the cat go? :D

Bastid - if you ever run out of storage space for all those, I might have a little room left here. ;) Great collection there!

To those in the first eleven of this thread, keep an eye on the mail for you AC doctor's knife or the Bone Cat doc knife. They went out today, mostly, and the last three should go out as soon as I get the last three addresses.

Keep Care,

pappy

Remember these are production versions, not the handmades.

And who gets the catteraugus doc?????????????????????
You won't know until you open your box!!
That cat is a honey of a knife!!

I SO enjoy fun things like this. I know you guys like it too.
Makes us all drag some things out of our collections that maybe we haven't looked at, or carried, in a while.

Have a great new year.

As always................
