Hi All,

All but one of the docs went out.
Still waiting on one email addy.

Hope you like them.
Remember these are production versions, not the handmades.

And who gets the catteraugus doc?????????????????????
You won't know until you open your box!!
That cat is a honey of a knife!!

I SO enjoy fun things like this. I know you guys like it too.
Makes us all drag some things out of our collections that maybe we haven't looked at, or carried, in a while.

Have a great new year.

As always................

Keep Good Care,

Pappy

Tim (pappy),

I sent my address to you a couple of weeks ago via e-mail. I hope the message made it through okay (AOL bans all e-mails from my server at work). Please let me know if I'm the address you're still waiting on.

Thanks again for your extremely generous giveaway. Your generosity inspired me to do a contest giveaway for my ebony modified CV Case Stockman back in December.

I've been offline for a few days, some scumbag hacked my computer and I had to wipe the hard drive and start over from scratch- blargh!

Last week, I received a package from Pappy containing one of his doctor's knives- WOW!
I LOVE IT! Amherst Cutlery makes one heck of a nice knife. The action on mine is superb- the blades open easily, but once you get past a certain point- SNAP! The blade snaps into place with authority- so hard that it seems like the knife recoils. Wonderful!

I've been carrying my new doctor's knife for a few days now, and it has definitely earned itself a place in my EDC rotation. I really like the design- it is quite elegant. The spatula blade is quite useful. I'm an artist, and the spatula works perfectly as a palette knife for mixing paint- I gave it quite a workout over the weekend.

Thanks Pappy! You do great work!

Guess he had my address after all, because I'm the proud new owner of one fine little Cattaraugus, doctor's knife courtesy of Tim(Pappy) at Amherst Cutlery. That is one neat little knife!!! It arrived in Monday's mail and I haven't had time to post pictures, etc. I can't say thanks enough to Tim for the super generous giveaway. This knife will remain a part of my EDC rotation as long as I'm still kicking. I promise to take good care of her and put her to good light-duty use. I'm new to Cattaraugus. Any idea how old this knife is? Cattaraugus history lessons are greatly appreciated.

Thanks again Pappy!

Here are some pictures with my only other Doc knife.

My AC doctors knife came Friday just as I was about to go camping so I threw it in my bag. One of my friends forgot his knife and asked if he could borrow it. Sunday morning he asked me where to get one so I just told him that he already had one. - Dan

Dan,

You are awesome!!!
That knife already has a terrific history behind it.
Couldn't be better!!

Keep Care,

Pappy

Thanks for the kind words Pappy. My friend just came over and gave me a WWII theater knife to add to my collection as a thanks for giving him the doc. - Dan
