Documenting an adventure.

More problems posting...not sure whats going on.
Anyway.

Thanks LittleSamurai! This is all pretty inspiring for me as well.

Quick pic update.
I wasn't able to recut the plunge line how we had talked. Just didn't have the capability with my current jig to get the right angle. I ended up just moving it back, and I think I will be happy with it. With minimal adjustment to the scales and their placement.

The other side of the blade I took to my sander (HF disk/belt combo) just seeing if I could clear out some material faster. I got nervous I was going to screw it up so its back in the jig.

Made total sense, thanks for the help man. I did both sides this afternoon, and I'm super happy with how it's coming along. The overall design of the knife could be better - I hurried through that stage just to start working, which was dumb. But I really do love wharncliffe blades. Check it out:

Good luck with the rest of your 1/4" haha

TIFU.
Not sure how, maybe it has something to do with whole left vs right type thing...although I didn't have this problem with the Wharnie.
One of my bevel grinds went just as expected and the other cut sharply down instead of gradual roll. :(
Not sure how I'm going to go about evening these out.
Have a look. I'm gonna try and take some round files to the plunge, and some paper, see if I can even it up.

Bonus, started the 3rd knife. Hipster bushcraft pencil sharpener. (inside joke for a friend)
Basically needed to do something less precise while I cooled down after seeing the disaster my plunge line turned into.

Yeah can totally relate with the filing jig. Using one still. D2 is a total pain and a serious time requirement. So now i stick to 1084 and .125-.187 max. I'll be upgrading to a 2x72 in Feb/March.
