• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Does anybody name their blades?

I am not sure why people name things like guns and knives. These names are pretty good - but being in the paintball scene - I have seen some pretty stupid names for paintball guns.

Geeks naming them after girls that would never talk to them if they wanted and bigger geeks naming them names that sound just as stupid when you say them as when you type them. Things like (Fire Slayer and Flesh Brander).

So very stupid.

Grim Fiddle. I like that!

I was thinking the same! Sounds almost like a hobbit's name to me..

That's pretty depressing.

My knives usually come with names. BK7, Howling Rat, Stockman, Sod Buster Jr., Woodland, Centofante, etc. No real need to change 'em as they are usually pretty good names to begin with.

I have given some of my firearms names though. For instance, my Remington 870 is named Stampy. I named it after Bart Simpsons elephant.

I may call any fixed blade Rup. I also use Rup in place of X, and sometimes for any number greater than 3.

I only have a name for 1 of my blades

"Mr Stripey"

Ya know... and my non-knife friends think it's a name I gave the knife. I call my Nessmuk... "Nessmuk", and they think I'm on first name basis with a knife.

It is really cute when my wife says "Are you bringing RD9 or Ang Khola?" :D
