DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY CARRY THEIR LARGE/XL ESPADA?

dont have espadas.....i carry other models, large sometimes in my pocket. the xls i find awkward but i can do it and have.

ti lite 6" i find too big for real use but can carry it in a pocket and have. i have a s&w kinda clone of it in the 5 inch or so range and its a much better size than the 6". less extra handle uselessness and better blade length for a folder.

I found an old Schrade sheath that fits my Aluminum 6" TiLite for easier access than the pocket.IMG_1585.JPG IMG_1584.JPG IMG_1585.JPG IMG_1584.JPG

I carry an XL Espada when I can't have a gun. Pockets are not necessarily. Put the knife inside your pants and clip to the top of your pants the way you would use an IWB gun holster. Move the knife forward or backward until you find a position that doesn't interfere with sitting. You can open the knife as you draw the catch past the edge of your pants. Quite impressive! (I'm 6'4", thin, middle aged, nerdy... I think most adults could carry this way if they don't use pockets.)

:) Welcome ! Interesting first post . I understand your carry method is POSSIBLE but doesn't sound very comfortable for prolonged , routine carry . Especially for those who don't normally wear thick , sturdy underwear . Or worse yet , go full "commando " !

Maybe the smoother aluminum bolstered XL would be OK but I know the all G10 model would be painful .

In several articles written by Lynn Thompson as well as interviews he mentions two knives as personal favorites for carry, the Laredo Bowie and the XL Vaquero. Interesting choices.

Actually I find the XL serrated Vaq. to be one of the lightest big folders to pack at times. I don't have an Espada. But I have packed my Rajah 2 on an occasional dark night, and it felt pretty damn good that it was there.

Most of the time I carry a Voyager XL and forget its there(funky plastic clip still good too). I like the Vaquero and El Hombre as well.

I also find the Hold Out one or two in pocket, usually the two. The one is likely the most impractical big folder that I have, and I also like it a lot ! A definite favorite for what it is.

I saw Holdout III(on here) for a good price and without thinking bought it. And of course I then found out there were two other models. Well I think it is a law or something you have to get all permutations. I now have the I also(yes a brute even alongside the XL Espada and 6" Aluminum TiLite). Looking for II next. It never stops.
