Does anyone carry a knife around the house

You have a dozen knives in your top drawer, one on the coffee table and a few crappy ones in the junk drawer in the kitchen. Do you still feel the need to carry a knife around your house?

I do. I empty my pokets into a bowl by the door when I get home, but I leave my knife clipped to pocket. On the weekends I keep my minii-grip in the pocket of my bath robe.
 
I carry 2 while I'm clothed. I keep one under the pillow and another within reach while in bed.
 
one fixed blade on my belt, one folder in my right pocket, one folder (SAK) in my left pocket.
 
Sometimes, I fall asleep with my case small stockman in the back pocket of my jam jams. I do not keep any knives lying around the house because of the youngins. They really do know better, and do not try to play with daddy's knives. (They know I would be jealous.) When my jeans are on, I have a schrade lockback small, a stockman or jack and my leatherman charge, home or out.

I have so many knifes around my house that one is always in reach pretty much. (same with guns hehe :))
 
I have one on me anytime it is permitted. When it is sack time it goes on the night stand.
Just one of those things that has become a part of everyday life.

I did give away a knife I was carrying on a whim and felt naked for the rest of the day.

Same here.

Two things that are always with me when permitting are a knife and my watch (unless I'm in the shower or swimming). When I do occasionally forget one, I also feel naked, especially when I need to cut something or know the time.

wow. Some of you guys are extreme! A fixed, folder and SAK for around the house?! knives in your PJs and bathrobes?! wow. I'f I'm still wearing pants, I have my knife that I carried in my pocket that day, and an SAK in my back pocket. But I'm not extreme enough to carry one in my robe or boxers at night. I don't have a knife under my pillow at night because I can feel it. I do have a Buck Nighthawk and my HK USP between the mattress and box spring tho. And a surefire L4 on my bedside table.
 
A knife? since home is free range and usually not patrolled by police officers, I put more knives in my pocket when I get home.

But that's just me.

BTW 1 fixed, 1 folding, and an SAK is not extreme.
Two knives clipped to each front pocket, one loose in your front right, an SAK in the utility pouch, a Leatherman on the belt, and a fixed blade every once in a while... That's what I call a good time (trying to get the feel for multiple knives at the same time).
 
When I am at home I carry even more knives lol, I'm carrying around a leatherman wave, fenix L2D Q5, a folder, a SAK, a large fixed blade that I made (12.5" overall and 6mm thick/a lil under 1/4" thick) and a lil fixed blade I made(4" overall).
 
knife o' the day in pocket ALL the time til bed. and knive(s) and flashlite(s) in every room in the house.

I never take my watch off. Not even during sex:eek:

As far as swimming/showering, Rolex Sea Dweller... nuff said.
 
I always have a 4 inch fixed blade in one of Normark's kydex sheaths clipped to my housecoat. Comes in handy all the time.
