Does anyone carry a knife around the house

Seems like I always have a knife or two on me no matter what....right now, it`s a Crawford/Kasper folder and a nice little Buck Lightning.....and since (like many of you) living in "Condition White" is not an option, I also keep several loaded handguns (no kids, just dogs :-) stashed in strategic locations around the house.

I am always either wearing my Leatherman wave or it is no further than an arms length away along with my minimag flashlight. The drawer under my side of the bed has at least 5 knives at all times. Of course I also have the collapseible baton and high intensity LED flashlight.

I pretty much don't leave my room without one of my knives. I keep one next to the towl while showering, have one or two in my pocket while sharpening and have a few next to me when sleeping.

My GF says my night stand has issues

I always have a knife on me. Even when I go swimming I have a knife on me. In a velcrow pocket I put in a cheapo knife. The ones you can buy in a big plastic jar for like 10 dollars and you get 100 of the things.

You have a dozen knives in your top drawer, one on the coffee table and a few crappy ones in the junk drawer in the kitchen. Do you still feel the need to carry a knife around your house?

I do. I empty my pokets into a bowl by the door when I get home, but I leave my knife clipped to pocket. On the weekends I keep my minii-grip in the pocket of my bath robe.

I don't empty my pockets when I get home.
When I dress in the morning, all the stuff I normally carry goes in my pockets and stays there until I go to bed that night. That includes my pocket knives.

So, yeah, I carry an knife around the house.

Around he house, yeah. Whenever I have jeans on, theres a biggie in my front right and a smaller one next to my wallet. Other than that, nah, but sometimes a Military is clipped in the sleep pants too. Funny.

Yup I always keep a knife on me or within reach except for while sleeping or in the shower/swimming. I've really been wanting to get a Spyderco H1 knife for something to swim with, especially since I go to a Florida beach at least twice a year (nice and salty/humid).

Even right now I'm in gym shorts with a BM 556 mini-grip clipped IWB.

usually, there's still a pen, light and knife in my pockets when I'm home (my novatac 120e, either my BM pen or baliyo, and usually my UKPK, or ALOX cadet

If any one has a collection of knives then they should rotate each knife and spend some time looking, holding, and wearing each knife to make sure the knives stay in excellent condition.. Every day I take a different folder and fixed blade down to ware. I often spot something that could be done to clean or work on when I look at my knives. I also like to make my on sheaths and they always need improved on! So yes I do carry several knives when I'm home. PS I have several hard plastic knives in and around the shower and hot tub.;)

Always have a knife within reach. If I'm dressed (jeans) I have at least two knives on me. When I have my robe on I have a Military in the frp. In the shower I have a Buck fixed blade within reach.
You can never be too prepared.

No, If I walked around with folders/fixed blades hanging all over me at home, my wife would think that I was a whack job. I'll wear my Manix, Endura or 110 when I go out, particularly at night. I'll strap on my Becker brute with a canteen of water on a pistol web belt, when I take a motorcycle ride into the bush. I try to use discretion while carrying and never want to come off as an anti social element. We lose our freedoms when we abuse them.

One in the pocket at all times, even around the house, except when sleeping...then it's either on my nightstand or under my pillow...:D

Ray :)

If I have pants on I have a knife. Current assortment:
Buck Strider Combo SB.1 clipped in back right pocket
Custom S30V 110 Drop Point on the belt
Buck Wrangler jangling about with my change and keys.
I also wear a Filson vest this time of year and carry a Buck Tempest 154cm in its breast pocket.

Luckily, I don't feel the need to swim, sleep, or shower with a knife.
I do keep a Smith and a Glock handly located in the house.

To be honest the Wrangler would handle all my everyday cutting chores. I have the others on my person cause I just like 'em and enjoy putting my hands on 'em whenever the whim strikes me.;)
