does anyone carry a spyderco as their edc?

I carry a Strider SNG daily since I got it, but I always have a Delica too. I love the thing and just can't seem to leave home without it. :D

The Scorpius is the only Spyderco that’s currently in my rotation. (I’ve also been carrying a large, Regular Sebenza and a couple of Mcusta knives lately.)

For three years or so, I carried a VG-10 Calypso Jr. almost exclusively. The Military is another Spydie that I’ve carried a lot in the past and still carry on occasion.

Now I carry a Spyderco Delica VG 10 balde and have a Calypso on order. The reason?

My Strider is my fav. large, built like a tank folder that I'll have when the SHTF. But it's too large for EDC. I wear this on camping trips or when Armageddon happens or a dirty bomb hits L.A.

My Chris Reeve Sebenza with inlay and graphic is too nice for EDC and I don't want to damage it. I wear this only on the weekends.

Soooo, I've ended up with the Spyderco. Why this brand? Well, they cut boxes well, are cheap and light, and if it breaks, I'll just buy another.

carry my spyderco R2 plain edge model every day since I received it, love it, very light and fits the hand perfectly

Carry my Spyderco ZDP-189 Calypso Jr. at work as a nurse. Holds a nice edge, light so it does not drag down my scrub pocket down, and being burgundy in color makes it more sheeple friendly.

When I was a Medic in the Army I carried a Spyderco Remote Release. Hooked it in my LBV on the shoulder strap where I could access it real fast.

i used to EDC a PE Blue Dodo in my back pocket... now i EDC a Strider SNG or a Kershaw Bump in my front pocket.

Spyderco Atlantic Salt (given to me by a forumite) and also a Victorinox Electrician Plus.

Spydies rule :)

PE Native on the right and SE Atlantic Salt on the left. The Native sometimes loses pocket space for a burgundy Calypso Jr.

Usually, a mini-dyad deep pocket carry, and a Paramilitary clipped in the
back corner of my front pocket.

I used to carry a Native I/CPM440V for quite a few years. Today it's mainly the UK Penknife and sometimes the Calypso Jr. If someone had told last me last year that some day I'd begin carrying a knife without a proper lock ...

Other knives I sometimes carry, for instance when I think I need a *very* sheeple friendly knife, are the Kiwi or, more often, the Faellkniven U2.

Spidy CJ in VG-10 for the reasons you mentioned. I also have one in ZDP-189 but it's still too new and I don't wanna lose that factory edge just yet. ;) Plus, the old one is just a joy to sharpen.

If I'm relegated to a folder for primary defense then it's either a '98 Emerson Commander or an Al Mar Sere Y2K. That is, until a Military II comes out...

mini Manix. I live in city. I am ok with carrying any knife, but i found out people/friends do run away from me when i take out my full size ChinookII and Manix.

Especially my Chinook. :(

Just started getting in Spyderco's so rigt now i cant stop carrying my FRN delica...amazingly sharp and solid.

I carry a Spyderco Police most of the time. I'll also carry an original Chinook sometimes in the place of the Police if I'm going to rural areas.

If I'm going to place with blade length limitations, I'll carry a Calypso, Jr., grudgingly.

I have several different knives I EDC (not just Spyderco), but of the Spydercos I EDC I like the Massad Ayoub (now discontinued) and the Ronin. Both are VG-10.
