Does anyone have ONLY one knife?

One knife????

I don't understand the concept. :) One knife in each pocket maybe.

My dad gave me my first knife in 1957, I got my second a couple of weeks later from an older cousin and I haven't been down to one knife since then.

but Mr Skywalker has only the one,...or is that Mickey Mouse now

I spent the last three months with one Knife, Schrade LB1, a keychain knife. I learned much. I will use it for a couple more weeks, then replace it with a slightly larger one, a Myerchin 3/4 size rigging folder with Marlinspike. I will use that as my "One Knife" for three months as well.

I had one knife when I was about nine years old..My first boy scout knife..That didn't last long on my third camping trip I got my first small fixed blade..It was a small trout knife in a nice leather sheath..

So I had one knife when I was nine yrs old and that lasted a month or two...CD

From when I first turned 18 and could order knives on my own, freely, I have purchased and traded hundreds in the past 9 years.

However, over the past 6 years, I may have had 20 knives, 5 knives, 10 knives, and at times, only one. Right now, I have 3. But the one I always have, never sold, never traded, and never even considered giving up, has been my 2006 Large regular Sebenza.

So, even though I am attracted to, touch and even own many other blades, at times, I remain faithful to my Sebenza. I'm actually sending her out for her first trip home to CRK this week for some love.

If only wives were more like knives, right?

Let's look at this a little differently, allow me some leeway here, what one knife would you want to have with you when the poop hits the rotating device? I am not talking the zombie apocalypse here, but when you are caught up in a situation such as camping in a remote area, and you get lost or trapped in by the weather. I know some have a bug out bag with them in the truck or wherever for just such an occasion, what kind of knife do you want to have on you to survive? The ones I want to have on me when a situation comes up like that, of all my knives, are either my ML Knives Hudson bay knife or my Cumberland by Idaho Knife works. I still think with this affliction we knife guys have, just one knife will never happen, but which one knife do you want to have on you when that incident happens? Comments wanted.

One knife? I think that I have 5 or 6 lying on my desk right now. I need to cut something and I grab one. I even have a tiny utility knife on my desk with of course a pack of spare tiny blades. Thought about taking it fishing... where a really sharp blade might come in handly to trimming knots and so forth if I misplace my clippers.

Life would be so much simplier with one knife and one firearm. But that is how it all started.....
