we made a deal on a trade on 9/4/09 and we agreed to ship out the same day, I did and I'm not sure he did....I have PMed him and sent him emails no reply back to me....He seemed to be a good guy I'm just wondering if he's OK....Shit happens and if he's having problems i would just like to know whats going on....

I just checked here and he has been banned here.....My knife got to him on 09/08/2009 at 10.49 Now I'm getting worried....If anyone knows him personally can they contact him and find out for me....

I can't find any of his posts that seemed out of line or why he was banned. :confused:

Did you do any other checking on him before you shipped? You said "He seemed to be a good guy", most con-artists act that way.

Hope you get what you traded for, good luck. :thumbup:
 
It was on another forum....

I think there is a simple explanation to all of this cuz its only a $ 50.00 knife....Maybe he got hurt or is having other problems....??? just a simple email or a pm would be cool...

Non-communication is the quickest way to make a deal go south. Again, hope it works out for you jeep.

markksr, thanks for the link. Still seems odd he would MOD sass in a PM while his posts seem pretty civil. Crazy spring must have broken. ;) :D

Heres an update..09/21/09...I still haven't seen the knife or herd from darz4....It kind of looks bad for me.....
 
Does anyone live in or near Dudley, MA 01571 that can look up David R Ambrose for me and find out whats going on ? I looked up his phone number and it is disconnected......
 
dazr4 had an instant meltdown when I gave him a warning for selling without the proper membership. I was astonished by his overreaction.

Then he emailed me what sounded like a sincere apology.

I have some hope this will work out. His banning certainly had nothing to do with scamming. Please keep us updated.
 
Not good. I have to sign off for now. When I get back, I'll email him & see if I can find out what's going on.
 
Well its been over 30 days....Im thinking he did this on purpose...I found him on facebook and emailed his Friends and they said they would tell him that i need to talk to him.....I just have a hard time believing that he hasn't lodged on to a computer for 30 days or more...I am just glad it was just a fifty dollar knife....I just wished i lived close enough to go knock on his door and ask him whats going on....I think this need to be posted for all to see so this wont happen again to someone else.....:thumbdn:

I don't live that close but have a Trooper buddy that I think may patrol that area. I can check if you want and see if filing a theft complaint will help.
 
Sounds like a plan. He hasn't responded to me. This guy is no different than any scammer -- a deliberate thief. Not much BF can do since we already banned him.
