Does anyone know if the CRKT Eros is carbidized?

My Eros 2 also had very late lock up when received brand new-- more around 80-90%. Returned it towards something else.
I do enjoy some of CRKT's offerings (such as the Razel variants) still.

Sounds like 5 days is a pretty descent response time to me. I have an Eros, "K455" SN-3160, that has about a 25-30% lockup just eyeballing.
I love it! It is a great, extremely lightweight, "gents" folder that I would not hesitate to recommend.

They sent me a replacement, eventually, but it also has pretty late lockup. About 80%. I think the deal may be that they want to avoid early lockup with the Ti lockbar, because they can shear due to the thin stock in that small of a knife. I know that the steel liner locks typically have about 30-40% lockup as does a brand new Ti liner lock Emerson, which doesn't have any thicker stock than the Eros. I don't know what the deal is, but plan to have it carbidized. There are also some other ways to "stretch" the lock bar a little if it comes to that.

For what it's worth, CRK (Chris Reeve) often sends out Sebenzas with the lock bar fully engaging the tang. In my opinion it's not necessarily a bad thing, just a thing.
As for CRKT, I haven't purchased one of their knives in a few years, but may do so in the future. It appears (to me,going by BLADE) that they are making an effort and I want to support that. Plus, I've never owned a t'hawk and some of theirs look very nice.
