Does anyone make a fixed blade with a 3" blade and 4" handle?

Like the title say. I am looking for a small fixed blade knife with a blade length of 3-3.5 inches. But I would also like it to have a 4" handle. Currently I carry a bark river necker 2 but it's handle is a touch short. I also carry a bradford guardian 3 which would be perfect if it had a proper handle (I don't enjoy finger choils). But I also don't want a knife in a cheaper steel. I love both the m390 of the Bradford and the 3vofnthe bark river.

So does anyone have any suggestions that would fit the bill? Please no esee knives. I'm not a fan

Google "Bark River Knives" and check out some of their other offerings, like the Essential.
They have a ton of different models, I'm sure you could find something similar to your Bravo Necker 2 but with a larger handle.

Actually no they don't. All of their smaller knifes have 3.5 and shorter handles. You can't get a longer handle from them with out getting a blade between 4.5 and up. I love the Essential but it's got the same problem. The handle is just to short for me. I also really like the mini fox river. Although I've never handled one in person I am hesitant to order one cause the handle length is 3.75 inches. I'd hate to drop nearly $200 only to have another knife that doesn't quite fit

Arno Bernard Knives Grazer Series is very well-made in South Africa.

Blade Length: 3.875"
Overall Length: 8"
Blade Material: N690

I have the little 20th Anniversary - Bush Baby - Warthog Ivory. Very nice.

The sheaths are tight fitting Cape Buffalo Leather.

What about a Pukko style knife. They look like the handle is longer than the blade.

That's a good point if you like the looks. An example is Spyderco’s Puukko with a 3.3" blade of S30V and a 4.5" handle.

For $200 you could probably get a custom knife made to your exact specs. Alan Davis did one for me in 3/16" Damascus for $190.

Take a look a real Finnish puukko, Spyderco's are just a style and IMHO grossly over priced. Not to mention that silly hole in the blade.

Look at some of the Finnish knives at:

Look especially at the Ahti, Lapin Puukko and Wood Jewel; lots of models with 3 inch blades and longer 4+ inch handles.

The Hultifors GK has a blade of 3.7" and a handle of 4" and is made of SK5 steel, which is a great steel, but cheap:) It can be picked up for $14 shipped off the river. I bought some in bulk from England and paid $10 apiece shipped. It's a great knife and the handle can easily be shaped into whatever you want with a sharp knife and sandpaper in 30 minutes. I've also learned since these pics that a light touch with a torch or later will remove the whitish color from the sanded areas. It meets your criteria, but won't win any "my knife is cooler than your's" contest:D And they are extremely tough knives. Google the abuse videos. Good luck.

Here's an unaltered on with my customized one.

I see your comment on steel but you might want to check out the special that JK Knives is having on his Element 01 Hunter with a 3" blade and a 4" handle. John is well known for his 01 carbon, I own several of his knives and they're pretty amazing. I recently ordered one of these with some customizing being done to the base model. He does offer S30v but I'm not sure if he offers it with this model you'd have to talk to him..

So in case you're interested..:)

I'm currently searching for knife with a 2" blade and a 4" handle! I like a handle that's fits my hand for purchase and has a utility or box cutter length blade. There are some fixed blade models close to what I want but haven't seen any folders yet.

Here are the knives slg98 was talking about, and they are also available in 154CM and CPMS30V.

EO1 EDC - 6 1/2" overall, with a 3" drop point blade, of 1/8" thick O1 steel

EO1 Hunter - 7" overall, with a 3" drop point blade, of 1/8" thick O1 steel

Comparison Photos

Standard kydex sheath

Optional leather sheath

You might want to take a look at the Buck 113 Ranger skinner. Blade , 3-1/8" handle 4-1/8". Available with 420 HC or S30V from the Buck custom shop.

All great suggestions. But I think this is my favorite so far. Gonna have do some research on them. Keep the ideas coming guys!

Haha, jk. I was going to post this link, you beat me to it.

Do you still have any clip points available?

James Terrio is a maker here that may be able to fix you up. He does great work from what I've seen, and is reasonably well priced.

Good Luck!

That E01 Hunter is SWEET!

Survive! GSO 3.5. I love mine, although I feel the handle may be a bit too slim if you have big mitts overall as opposed to wide mitts - if that makes any sense. Depends on how you like your knives to feel. Looks like the E01 Hunter has a bit thicker handle.

Man, I really like that Hunter.
