Does Anyone NOT Like SAK's?

One of the few SAKs that I dislike happens to be Trailmaster you posted. I bought one of these from Target, and ended up taking it back 5 minutes later. The lock didn't work properly, and the knife felt weird to me.

I'll stick with the classic red SAK slipjoints.

I honestly use the toothpick more than anything else on a SAK.
 
I never did really care for them much. I always thought the screw drvers were junk, and the blades didn't hold and edge. I also thought they are a little bulky dropped in a pocket. I now carry a Cadet and am amazed at how useful the darn thing is. It's very comfortable to carry and after I convexed the blade it holds an edge much better than I thought it would. As the screw drivers aren't anything to bost about they are handy and I've used them alot but still prefer a real driver if fixing something. Bottom line is I always have my Cadet on me now. It's a love hate thing now. :)
 
I love my sak's. The Victorinox soldier is my most carried pocket knife. it does everything I need to do as far as cutting on a EDC basis, and with a couple of different screw drivers I've realy fixed things with it. Surprising what you can do with a screw driver. For dress use when I want a lighter package for suit carry, I drop a tinker in my pocket, plus I always have a classic on my key ring. The classic is very surprisingly usefull.:thumbup:
 
They are handy.. but puny.
Kept one in my tackle box.
I've got a Richardz box knife now.
Spyderco is such a great cutter & Leatherman is such a great tool that SAK is becoming obsolete (almost.)
 
I have 6. My first knife (tinker), carpenter in small emergency kit (and a Wave in the bob), mechanic I edc'd before my first leatherman, and a spartan lite, signature lite II, and another tinker (all 3 were clearance priced at Target, $25 for all) Plan on getting a midnite minichamp in my next decent sized production knife order. I like em, but I carry a new wave and a one hander everyday. Just came back from a quick errand outside and had the spartan lite coz it's dark and I'm in sweats.
