Does anything sell faster than a Carothers on the Forum?

That would be the Behemoth. Big one is a K18 and smaller is a 6” utility fighter.

Here is a pic of some of the more recent offerings side by side. Good luck with the hunt 👍

Alright, I’m not familiar with the Carothers situation. Seems to me like they are immediately gone anytime someone posts one for sale and I mean IMMEDIATELY!!! They look like great fixed blades….what sets them apart from others and have what seems like a tremendous following? I definitely want to get my hands on one!!!

Today, if you want a modern steel, Carothers. They’re unbelievably well built and heat treated. They sell like mad.

Up and coming fast selling knives in classic high carbon offerings, Redmeadow Knives Redmeadow Knives . Dibs are called almost immediately and the word is spreading.

Get on the mailing list ASAP.

I wouldn't let the speed of a Friday sale discourage you. I've only found success once, using that avenue. Despite that, I have a nice assortment of them now and though some are from pre-orders, others have been via other members. CPK enthusiasts are some of the nicest folks on the forum - drop in on the sub, chime in on a few threads and once you get the general feel for the place, hop in their buy/sell/trade thread and post what you're looking for.

I've had excellent success acquiring the CPK knives I have been after. Unless you're after some of the rarer or more limited birds, you should be able to scoop up something to your liking before too long.

I’ll just chime in that it’s not JUST the quality of manufacture but also of design. There are tons of impeccably made knives in top quality steel that just don’t work that great. Lousy handles, mediocre blade geometry that’s more focused on optics than performance, etc. CPKs start with great handles and geometries and then add great steel and top quality manufacturing.
