I like Buck's fixed blades. The biggest FB I have from Buck is the 119.

So,My question is "Does Buck make a 7"-10" bladed heavy chopper/bowie type knife?"

No need for super steels,Their 420HC is just fine by me.;)

Please post pics if ya gottem'

Thanks :)

Here are a few Buck Bowie knives.
903, 909, 124, you can get an idea of size by looking at the 110 in the photo.

:thumbup:Thanks jb4570

I like that one with the black handle(2nd down from top) in your pic. What model is it?

I forgot to mention that I'm looking to buy a big Buck FB.I was thinking of getting a (another) BRK&T Rogue(Great Knife BTW),but I'm looking for something specifically from Buck.
I'm thinking minimum 7" blade,Buck's famous clip-point blade.I'm not really into the boxiness & big gaurds on typical bowie styled knives.

Any help?

Thanks in advance for any & all suggestions.:)

Here's a comparison shot of three. The top knife is the 119, then the 120 and the bottom is a 124. The blade length of the 120 is 7 3/8".

I highly recommend the buck 124 Frontiersman, its their biggest and toughest. I have one and its awsome.

I just noticed the 124's blade steel is 425M.

I never heard of it.How does it compare to their 420HC?

JTR,

You have good taste:thumbup:. The 124 is a discontinued model. However, there are many to be had just look at Ebay. Also the 124 can be often found as a special order or limited edition due to it's popularity.

Here are a few more variations of the 124

With a 6.75" blade,I'd hardly call the 124 a chopper,but it certainly isn't small either.

I should've titled this thread "Looking for a BIG BUCK Knife":o

It's not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog...300Bucks

I'll tell you this, when I grab hold of a 124 the first thing that pop's in my is "this is a big damn knife" Rest assured its a chopper.

Good pic 300

:thumbup:Thanks guys.I'm watching a couple of auctions for the 124.;)

JTR, I've seen many 124's with 7" blades. You should hold one inorder to get an accurate impression.DM
