• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Does GEC blank their own blades and liners?

You're right David. Case doesn't tumble all of their blades but for the most part they do. There's always exceptions to all lines.

Of course you knew about Case tumbling their blades as you said in the "AGR Rancher and Cowbowy Folders?" thread.

I like a sharp edge too but sometimes they are a pain (pun intended).:)

Something interesting, a while back I remember reading a post from somebody on BF, mentioning how he sometimes used the crisp edge of the spine on his stainless Case soddie as a wood/cabinet scraper. Looking at the spines on my two stainless soddies, I can see how this would work. I like the crispness of them for the most part, with the possible exception of the corner of the tang itself, which can be a knuckle-abuser, if you catch it when retrieving the knife from your pocket. :)

I got the scoop straight from the horse's mouth.

...no, not literally!

According to GEC,

We do blank out our own blades, liners, springs, bolsters, shields etc. We stamp them out, waterjet them and sometimes use the wire machine.
