Does spyderco have something like this?

I was curious about this as well, and am glad to hear that you and your parents got something figured out (I read through, but didn't respond to your other thread).

I really do think that in your case, perception is a huge deal, as you're trying to help your parents understand it is a tool to you. And, in that way, I think the uncoated blades, and different handle colors can really help (even if you don't get this now) "sell" the idea that this is just a tool.

And again when you do get to use it, use it with almost exaggerated safety (two hand opening, or at least slowly opening, keeping well clear of others when cutting, etc) and I think over time they'll come around :). Another thing that isn't related to this thread (but is to your other one), but try to

But yes, the RAT 1/2 are both great value EDC blades (same category as the Tenacious), so when you get older/when your parents are ok with it, give it a shot.

Cheers :).
Thanks man... Really happy they saw through lol

No, I'm not going to buy it behind her back. I wasn't even going to buy it lol. When I said "pick one up", I meant keep an eye on it. Sorry for the confusion. She gave me back my spyderco BTW.

Your posts are inconsistent.

Actually yeah, I think I was thinking of something else, not the rat 1. Sorry for the confusion. 5 oz doesn't seem all that heavy. I've heard good things about it, so I might pick one up

What do you mean? I said in a further post that I didn't intend to buy it, I'm just making a wish list. Plus, this is finals week, so my brain is moving at a million miles a minute. Sorry if I'm getting confusing lol.

OK. So, after many people told you in the other thread to stay away from "tactical", why are you now looking for a Tenacious with a coated blade? Especially when you just got your other Tenacious back (on a "need to use") basis? But you are not going to buy...you are just asking for prices.

Its all odd. But I guess its finals week and you are spending a lot of time thinking about knives and what knife to get next.

You are one grumpy son of a gun.

I was looking for new scales, not a whole new knife. Plus, I'm on here between studying, and my last test is tomorrow, so my mind is out the window man...

As I said, sorry for the confusion. Plus, I'm still kinda I noob with this stuff, so I'm just trying to learn.

Alright. Thanks. I don't think he meant to be advertising the guy though, he was just telling me where I could find the scales I was looking for. Thanks though.

RevDevil is a mod. He should be treated with the respect his position of authority here deserves.

Seem to be seeing a pattern here.

I would be far less skeptical if your story was straight. Maybe it will be when finals are over. Good luck.
Skeptical of what? You aren't one of those wackos that think that the moon landing was faked do you? How about 9/11? Did bush do that too? Jet fuel can't melt steel beams. Sorry for getting defensive, but why the hell would I want to fake a story like mine? What benefit would it have to me? So what is there to be skeptical about?

Jeez man. I wasn't disrespecting him, I know he's a mod. I just didn't want the guy that put the eBay account up to get in trouble. Just because you're having a bad day doesn't mean you have to try and ruin mine. Chill out.

If RevDevil had a problem with what I said to him, he can tell me, and I'll fix my reply. And what pattern are you seeing? The only pattern here is you following me through the forum, and talking crap. If you don't like me, just don't participate in the thread I started.
