Does this considering dishonest seller?

I don't think you can tell the finish on this picture.

This thread is getting a bit confusing. That's not the listing where you bought the knife; I quoted the listing where you bought it earlier. While the listing your seller bought it from has pics where the light washes out the blade, the listing your seller posted has much clearer pics.

If you are not happy and think it is not as described, ask for a return and refund.
If the seller doesn't make it right, then that is another matter.
Seems a bit premature to post here before you attempt to handle with them.
This is not happy or not happy.
This is a matter of seller's trust. Do you agree?
I am just post for discussion not to complain.

.
The act alone that you got a blade with a different finish then expected, does not make the seller untrustworthy or dishonest. It would have to be considered along with his follow up response . If he says screw you, close enough ,then yes. However he may be able to explain or remedy the problem, then no. As far as I know a difference in finish wouldn't be a significant difference in value, so there would be nothing to gain by deceiving you.

Wow...

Are you happy with the knife? If not, did you contact the seller? How can the seller be untrustworthy if you don’t give him the chance to make it right?

I think this thread was started prematurely. You like the knife...your probably gonna keep it...but you started this thread anyways...hmmm...

This photo is horrible. I'd call it a wash out.

Hello thread,
Sorry for any hassle jarck why didnt you ask me for return/refund?
here is my listing i provided large, clear pictures.

I'm the seller of this knife to jarck. I purchased it here a few weeks prior and it came to me in that box. I did not mean to misrepresent the knife I thought it was what was listed on the box.
I wasnt trying to trick anyone. I took the very best pictures I could. I never considered that the box was inaccurate. I guess that's my oversight?
I thought i provided accurate pictures of the blade, no? Can anyone tell the finish on that blade from the photos in my sale thread? What say yee?
I would have taken it back, no sweat. I actually liked that knife.its just too big for my hands. the switch was too much for my dead thumb.
I'm just a dude who likes knives im not some ebay vendor. Ive bought more here than ive sold here for what that's worth. Cheers, folks.
thanks

I could have been guilty of the same oversight as the seller. This is a non issue to me and could have been resolved discreetly and easily from what I can tell, if the buyer truly felt mislead* by the seller.

*I won't say - unhappy.

To answer the opening question - NO DISHONESTY Present in this case.

A Microtech OTF in Satin M390, is about as sweet a blade configuration as you could hope to get, IMO.

You did absolutely nothing wrong here, L.A. Saiga! It was very poor form, on the part of the OP, to start a "Dishonest Seller?" thread; & with only 22 posts to his username, the thinking by this seller that you would remain anonymous.....yeah right.

J jarck : Yes, why didn't you, attempt to exercise better forum etiquette/professionalism & try basic "COMMUNICATION 101" & simply ask for a return/refund, or another avenue to remedy this situation, in lieu of starting such a negative BS thread?

I have two knives that came from dealers with the wrong box. It happens, particularly if the knife is displayed w/o box.

J jarck I'm sorry brother. I could not tell the difference btwn finish I never considered that the box was incorrect. I never would have considered this! (i will now, though)
if you feel burned I will return/refund.
no worries

Thank you kindly
Hi Saiga, No problem bro. I do like the knife. The question was just a statement of the situation not a complain. If this thing happened again what would be the verdict. It should be the original seller respond not you if this continue.

I don't have much time surfing and posting. But that doesn't mean I don't know knives. Clearly knife and box are not match. I made a comment not complain and clearly said I do like the knife. You shouldn't make such a strong words to criticize other people since you only see the surface. Peace.
