I'm a car salesman, and I carry a knife every day for opening boxes of parts, etc. A lot of my co-workers carry them too, but they all carry your typical gas station special, which is understandable. They all know I'm a knife nut, because I love showing off new ones, and they all love looking. There are two things that almost always happen when I show one of them a new knife. First, they all like to open a folder half way, and then whip it out as hard as they possibly can... why? It's like lightning in my brain. What is the purpose of this? The other thing they do, and I have no idea why... If it's a liner lock or a frame lock, for some reason, they attempt to unlock the knife by aggressively shoving the lock further into the knife, causing the lock bar to get stuck. I can understand not knowing how an axis lock works just by looking at it, or anything else like that... but really, why is that so hard to figure out? I wish they would take a little time to look at the lock. I'm typing this because my boss literally just whipped my knife out, causing the liner lock to travel really far over, and then jammed it further in while trying to unlock it...
I suppose I should just stop letting them handle my knives.
