So I’ve been browsing around, haven’t really found anything that struck me. What I’m looking for is this:

Clip point/Lanny’s Clip (or similar)
No half stop
Slip Joint (no locks)
Carbon/Stainless doesn’t matter
Say between 3” and 3 3/4” closed
Single Blade
Cheap! (Like, under $100 cheap)
Made in USA

What ticks all those boxes, still has decent-to-good (or better) F&F, made in USA, and good quality steel?

It isn't a single blade, but the GEC 35 Churchill is the right size, has no half stop, has a really nice clip point, and the secondary is on the opposite end (so the knife is sitll slim) and can be modified to sit lower in the blade well by filing down the kick. Good luck finding one now, but if GEC does another run of them you might want to try it out.

Case single blade sowbelly?

I liked the 35 except for that second blade. I just couldn’t connect with either of the examples I owned, and moved them along. I wish they made a single blade version, that would be nice

Single blade sow belly, not sure how that slipped passed me! Not familiar with that pattern at all, never even handled one. It’s something to think about, it’s a decent looker in my opinion.

I saw that review. Aren’t those blades 1095 steel? I liked the looks as I read through the review. Just wasn’t sure about the quality, maker, etc

That’s really not a bad looking knife. So far I like that one and that Moore Maker (which I still am unsure about because I really don’t know much/any history on them)

Heck I even got a free t-shirt with mine. The w&t and f&f on mine was excellent all around. If I remember it's 3 7/8" closed. Just talked myself into getting another one.

The only thing I feel draws me back is the CV steel. I bought a sodbuster jr just to beat up on, and it almost feels like if I look at it hard enough, it goes dull. It gets incredibly sharp! But I’ve never been able to keep a good edge on that or the old CV trapper I had.

Sowbellies are excellent in hand. Really comfortable users, I've always been puzzled as to why we don't see more of them. As for Moore Maker, they play a strange shell game with who actually makes their knives. Depending on when it was made you could be buying a Canal St, a Queen, a Bear and Sons.. who knows? They have had some great looking knives in their lineup but I've always been hesitant to buy one because of it.

This is Case's Tru Sharp stainless

Don’t have much Case experience at all. Is there much of a difference in performance between their SS and CV blades? I’ve gotten stainless as gifts but never put them to EDC type use. I’ll have to take a good look at that Moore Maker too, but the contracting it out makes me nervous.

BP the Moore Maker boys' knives are USA made by Canal Street Cutlery CoOp. The ironwood and ash trappers were as well. I made the ash and ironwood boys' knives as well as the ironwood trappers, a guy named Kenny Rose made the osage orange boys' knives as well as the ash and osage trappers. They're all 1095 steel.

Don't let my review turn you away from the Moore Maker Boys Knife, I was being very nit-picky in that review... because I think reviews should be nit-picky.
It really is a solid, well-built knife that I'm super happy to own. The only real flaw was the slight gaps in the liners. You run the risk of getting those with just about any brand except GEC (Bill's a wizard). The only other nit-pick I had was the edge grind wasn't even, but that was so easy to fix as not to be an issue at all.
