They're scratches too, not scuffs. You can actually feel them by rubbing your finger/fingernail across the blade
I saw the auction pics, the pics listed here and the description right above your post.
I'm not cranky, I always wanted to post that picture so you were my target....hahaha..lol...I'll remove it.![]()
In the original for sale add none of the scratches were visible. Still not LNIB but is the lighting in your pic exaggerating the scratches? Or was the pic in the sale thread hiding them? They look REALLY deep in your pic !!! Like they would be impossible to hide !!! Look at the bright side tho, you got a xm-18 for only 25 bucks over list price!!! Good score if you ask me![]()
I'd feel cheated too. It's the seller's responsibility to accurately desctribe the condition of the knife. This was clearly not done. As a result you didn't get what you paid for, but it sounds like you accepted his $75 offer to make things right.I still can't help but to feel cheated, but I felt like this was the easiest resolution to what could have became a drawn out problem
I think it's got a carbon fiber scale.list price is $385 isn't it?
it's not the first time the seller did this, on this forum, and he did it before with an XM-18, a full custom one.Although this was a solution. It still doesnt make what the seller did right. He flat out lied. He lied about a knife he was selling AGAIN. I bet this won't be the last time either. I'll be the first to say it. I don't give a shit. The seller is obviously shady. Period!
This is not the way to do business. Sell a USED knife as NEW just to move it then offer a partial refund?? That's not the way we do things. Wheres the integrity? Regardless of how the pics were taken the knife was not as described. Plain and simple guys. The seller deserves no credit for offering a partial refund. He was and still is wrong for lying. 100%. How could someone claim to inspect a knife and not notice those scratches. That's BS!
Personally I wouldn't have accepted anything but a full refund. The partial refund was just a way of sticking you with the knife.
I see a trend starting with this guy.
Brad. If youre satisfied with the deal. I guess that's all that really matters.
Maybe this discussion would be better off in the proper forum??
These are my 2 cents. For what it's worth.
Sorry about my ranting Rob.
I wish this thread were moved to the appropriate sub-forum, though, since I could go into more detail on this seller.
whoops. I fixed that. Sorry, Brad. What I wrote is now true, though.Do you have your buyer and seller straight in this post?![]()
You got my support BigB! I'm still hoping you can end this deal on the plus side.
And FWIW, you and a couple other members pretty much confirmed my spydie senses and I'll hopefully never have to deal with something like this.
Oooh. I have a suspicion...
Can we move this to GB&U now, so we can get more details?
maybe Brad should just make a new thread in GB&U, so everyone can find out that it was TattooBlade who sold it.
