Does this look LNIB to you? GENEROUS PARTIAL REFUND RECIEVED! CASE CLOSED!

I know. I'm Rick V on the USN. ;)

it's not the first time the seller did this, on this forum, and he did it before with an XM-18, a full custom one.

I don't agree with taking a $75 refund either, I would ABSOLUTELY go for the full thing. If the seller doesn't give the money back, I'd go through PayPal, or do a chargeback on my credit card. I'd hope Rick could refurbish this knife, but I have no idea how deep the marks are. Probably he or Rob could tell you. I think it's an unnecessary hassle though.

I wish this thread were moved to the appropriate sub-forum, though, since I could go into more detail on this seller.

That might just be a good idea!

I think you would be doing our community a great service if you went through with this. We don't need this happening to someone else.

These guys can only continue doing this type of thing if buyers remain unaware that they do it.

My .02 C's.

Come on! That blemish is so blatantly obvious that failing to mention it to any potential buyer is criminal in and of itself. The fact that he advertised it as LNIB is worse still. This was truly an underhanded thing to do to someone.

Amen to that brotha!

It was me who sold it. I haven't been on this forum for a while or I would have jumped in this thread quicker. And as I told Brad when he reported it to me upon receipt, we made it right. That was a quick turnaround sale. I got the box from the post office and took it home. I did not see those scratches. Never took it out of my house. Looked at it in my bedroom where I opened it. Fondled it a bit and determined it was too small for my hand so I put it up for sale. I can't say if those were that or not. But in the lighting I was looking at it, I didn't see them. I probably didn't even look. Plain and simple. I didn't use or mess with it, but I did not see them. Brad and I agreed on a way to make it right, and I did. Brad also told me that he was understanding and would post no negative feedback of any kind since I made it right. I PMed Brad. I have a ton of great feedback here, and never seemed to have an issue until I got involved with Hinderer knives. Not sure why, cause I really love them, but that's the case. I will get this worked out with Brad, so you can all relax. I hope once we work things out he'll make that clear here.

I just bought this one on the exchange, opened the package a few minutes ago, and Damn am I pissed! I paid $600 for this thing! Item was listed as LNIB. Just to make sure, does this look LNIB to you?

Oh snap, I'd be PISSED!:mad: So frickin far from LNIB!

The knife was like new, and I don't see any scratches in those photos from the link provided. However, I believe Brad and he sent me photos. I have no explination other than either they were there and I didn't see them or the person I bought them from didn't see them. I can see though from the photos I have, you have to hit the light right to see them. I already sent a PM to Brad and we are going to work it out.

Strike three, actually. He already sold a knife to someone on here, a full-custom Hinderer, that he listed as unused, but on the greener forum, mentioned using it to pry apart some frozen hamburgers.

There's also this: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=677296

This really should be in GB&U, though. Brad, maybe you should PM a mod to have it moved. Esav mentioned he'd move it.

OMG, as my daughter would say. You are killing me with that nonsense. That custom is in mint condition. Yes, I now know after talking to you guys on the other forums that as long as the blade touches anything it is used. Prying apart 4 frozen hamburgers does not and did not cause any marks of any kind on that custom. You are all upset becuase you felt I flipped it, which I didn't and I'm not going to explain myself again. I already did elsewhere.

Yup,

Saw all of the Hinderers, scales and such you've been handling (buying selling) maybe you just got it confused with another one in the poor lighting.

Waiting for Brad to post that he got a full refund while he ships the knife back. It's him we'll be trusting in this scenario for now.

Wanting to believe you're gonna do the right thing here TattooBlade.

Just so you know how, you log in to PP, find the transaction, click on details, click on link that says issue refund!

I think it's pretty suspect that he's requesting everyone to do PayPal personal too, so no one has much recourse unless they used a credit card.

ok Everything is Settled.
He has refunded me more of my $$$ back.
A full refund was offered, but I went with the other option, which was another generous partial refund.
It sucks that it happened in the first place, yes, but he HAS made it right with me. I no longer feel like I've been robbed. As a peace offering, I am closing this thread. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT! It's good to know that I've got the support of this community when I need it. I feel sorry for anyone who acts dishonestly on these forums, because the strength of this community as a whole is simply amazing. I can't say it enough, THANK YOU ALL!
