Here is a new knife that arrived yesterday. Does the tip look bent to you? Does the blade look straight? I will reveal what knife it is after I get some opinions.

All the RD-6s are like that.

The tang doesn't match the spine, the spine doesn't match the grind, and you won't find a 90* angle anywhere on them.

It's a damned shame that Ontario didn't have a bit more pride in their work...especially on that knife. It's a great little knife and has so much potential.

6.75" of 5160 hostility is definitely a knife that the World could use right now.

My photo is not an Ontario knife - it's something much more expensive.

It's hard to tell with that closeup and no real reference to straight, but it looks like it's either an uneven grind, or a bend in the stock. Either way, I wouldn't be too happy

I’m with Dadpool and SH, more of an uneven grind than a bend. Probably doesn’t affect the performance much, probably will sharpen out after about 10 times, but that doesn’t make you hate it any less right now.

Side pic would show more.

Does this help?

To me it looks like it was ground unevenly. Looks like they left it thick near the top on one side. Use a ruler or something straight, ran parallel to the spine to give us a better reference if possible.

For most brands I would simply adjust the grind myself, but given how much those Winklers cost that seems unacceptable. Have you sent them an email about it? I’m guessing they’ll take care of the problem.
