I don't know whether i'd say it's worse than death, but it did come very close to killing me. Now that I've come through the other side, I'm really appreciating life to the fullest.

Yes, it must've been from a tick bite.

When I 4 wheel in Tenn. my buddy always kids me about all the crap I spray on me and my clothes for tics. After seeing that, I'm sold.

Oh, man... I have developed a major paranoia about pathogens, from this experience. I think, from now on, whenever I go outside I'll be wearing a HazMat suit. ;)

It got worse!!!!!! :eek:

OMG! It got much worse. There wasn't any normal skin, just red rash... all the way down to the soles of my feet, and all the way through into all my internal organs.

There are still some lingering effects... itches, splotches, exhaustion, etc. It is too early to tell whether there's any permanent damage. I don't think so, and I hope not.
