Dog Soldier 8 . . . Coming This Wednesday 11-15-2017 At 9:00pm Eastern!!!

Scale is in pounds then oz. then tenths of an oz. So 1.1.1 is 1lb 1.1 oz. There are 16oz in a pound for all you math nerds and light drinkers out there. ;) Infi TGM was the heaviest and DS6 the lightest. Coated TGLB was slightly hevier than stripped and hand sanded black paper scales TGLB, but that could still be differences in the machining of the blade. DS8 and B8LE were very close with the scale jumping back and fourth a tenth of an oz on the B8LE so it might be a tenth of an oz hevier :confused: lol.

I haven’t weighed either but my DS8MO does feel slightly heavier than my CGB8. I figured it was the forward weight of the DS8 saber grind vs the distal taper and large choil of the B8, that brought more weight towards the handle and left the Basic feeling a little faster in hand.

I just got my shipping notice for mine with a penetrator tip. That should make it just a smidge lighter than the B8LE. I'm really looking forward to this knife!
 
Got mine. Midnight with penetrator tip. Very nice. Feels great in hand. Can’t wait to compare it to others. And that HogB8!

Had they been available in a choiless version, I'd have been ALL over these in both CF and CG configurations!!! Thank goodness it didn't happen, I don't think my HOG/DOG/RAT funds could have handled that. (Don't do it Dan... don't... you... do... it!!!):cool:

I wish I had got a penetrator tip. Might have to add one myself. The DS8 is plenty blade heavy.

Can' wait. Maybe I'll get a Speck ops sheath for this one, just straight up user/Practical.
 
These look great guys, mine's coming today. I think a swedge from the tip to the start of the fuller would really finish it up nicely.
Of course I'd probably put a swedge on just about everything ;)
 
I’m so happy with this knife.

My wife is also; she stole my backup. It took her less than a minute to drop her B8LE in favor of the DS8.

Did I mention that she STOLE my backup..?!!
 
Did Ur guys DS8 Co m p came with "Sharpened by" Sticker? O think for thed 1st time, mine didn' h a 'e one.
I was planning on selling it once it arrives, but like the Resc handle way more than I thought I would. Hopefully Hog B8. Comes with the same handle.
