The only particular knife I like enough to have 4. I actually sold all my TG variants in favor of the DS6 & DS8 ( I do have serious sellers remorse if I think about it though ).

We need a DS4 , 10 and 12....

....I didn't either and regret it (well NO Regrets....but tyou know what I mean). I am hoping @elof_alv did and looses it or needs $ for a liver transplant or something....

But on the basics you still have about an inch of waste real-estate from the hilt to the cutting edge...no? It's just not cut into a choil.

I should have been more specific: I would rather have the extra cutting edge instead of a choil. On a crinkle-coated Basic 7, it is 3/4" from where the edge stops to where the handle begins, and this 3/4" includes the 1/4" choil. Comparing the 1/4" choil to a 1" choil, that's 3/4" cutting edge lost. Is this loss critical, no, but I personally would still prefer the 3/4" extra cutting edge & small choil (or 1" extra cutting edge and no choil) compared to the 1" choil.

....... yes he has been living the life lately, this has not gone unnoticed !!! I was his Kidnap and Ransom consultant and contact point during the last vacation. My first task was to go secure his steel

Sounds like he owes you big time, I hope he realizes what a good friend you've been. I'd tease him harder but as much as he runs around he might just show up here sometime

The silver-coated DS6's are pretty cool. I like that coating, it's fairly slick compared to the black.

I agree with others, IMHO the DS series is the best bang for the buck.

I passed on them when they were live on Bussecombat, regretted it almost immediately after last call. I got in on the wait list for one. Amy emailed to let me know there was one with my name on it as they were shipping and I got a hammered silver blade.

You can imagine how excited I was that another DS6 was in my grab bag!

Kinda want black on black though so my desert sage on tan ResC will have an equal.
