Reminds me of this new family member, somewhat. What kind of mix is yours? Our guy is about 67 lbs and estimated to be two years old.

A lovely dog who seems very friendly. 😍
Ours is 8 years old and varies between 30 and 34 kgs depending on his activity (for some time now he has been more on the sofa than running in the forest) 🤷‍♂️.
He was adopted when he was 10 months old and was left to his own devices on the balcony of a flat and was threatened with euthanasia following complaints from neighbors on lower floors who received the droppings on their balconies when it rained.
My daughter rescued him but we don't have his exact pedigree. He recovered well because he was malnourished and unable to walk more than 800m without lying down when we took him in.

RIP Duke. Sorry for your loss Simplejack Simplejack . The Red Nose in my avatar had to part ways with me 06/22/22 - still brings me to tears . Sounds like Duke was a damn good sidekick.
