Vale Becky (Auldbrig Belladonna) Border Collie

Sept 1, 1995 to Feb 4, 2009

My beloved Becky Border Collie was euthanised at 9.35am on Wednesday February 4 following a stroke she suffered Tuesday afternoon.

Her condition was quickly deteriorating and any possible treatment was made very difficult due to Becky's Diabetes and lung disease and blindness. I and my Vet decided that Becky should not be expected to continue fighting so many opponents and face a decline in her quality of life.

Becky left this life with me holding her pretty face in my hands while she reclined upon her lounge, in her house with her grace and dignity intact.

Her soft nature, quick mind and most of all her sweetness will be missed by all those she loved and who loved her in return.

In death she has walked ahead of me for the first time, rather than being at my side.

I know...She LOOKS like a cat, but she really thinks she's a dog, as she's always chasing cats away..

Must be something common in black cats w/green eyes. Mine looks exactly like yours and does the same thing. She becomes a hellion when another cat comes sniffing around!!

Lab / Hound mix from a rescue... a little over 2 years old now and still full of beans!!
He's my best friend and really a great dog...
Well behaved, smart, energetic, and good natured...
he knows when to be gentle, and when to be a BEAST!

When I first picked him up... at about 4 months old maybe.

Loved the water from the begining...

We do a 1 to 2 hour hike a few times a week... LOVES the woods!

You certainly know Ridgies! The only addition I could add regarding Blu is that sometimes 'the look' is applied at the sight of a neighbors cat walking past the front of our house with the implied "Well I was bred to hunt big cats, can I at least give chase to that little one please?"
