Sorry that happened. Heart breaking but I’m sure you get it fixed up right.

When doing chores I’ll often grab my SAK because the flat head screw driver/cap lifter saves me from prying with a blade. Seems like my urge to pry is pretty strong.

Yep. All day every day, except for this instance. Dumbassery abound today.

At least it was the secondary so a blade delete would make it a nice sized carry knife!
 
I too see a bargain with damaged knives. I have in the past, carefully ground the nub off and put it back to service.

I also have sent a couple case knives and a buck back to the factory and they were fixed up nice. I still have those too, so it wasn’t lost on the companies.
 
The OP's photo is really depressing. I feel for you; that must really have ruined your day.
