Don’t pry with your knives, folks.

What a great little box cutter you now have !!!

As long as there's enough nail nick left to open it.

It looks pretty short but a dremel might be able to sort things out so it could be able to open, possibly by adding a groove/notch at the very end so your thumbnail could catch and pull it open, but a groove on the side may prove harder to raise the blade.

But I think we all agree, it was not a pleasant thing to have happen to any folder.

I busted the tip of the 82 drop point, yikes. I was able to smooth it off though and it makes a neat little spey now. I'll try to get a pic up

It really is. Main blade was difficult to open. Gonna have to see what I can do about it now.

One on top is my first knife paid for with my own money at TG&Y or the like 50 years ago. Stagalon! woohoo! Snapped the clip main using it to pry the side cover off my motorcycle. Money was tight so I continued to carry it and use it as a reminder never to do it again. And I haven't. Left me with a built-in screwdriver and forced me to use the spay, no wonder I don't like spays! A kind porch member sent me a replacement with full blades. We've all heard it, "a pocket knife is the most expensive and least effective prybar you own."

I had the pleasure of acquiring this beauty at a very reasonable price. Now I struggle every time i look at it to refrain from trying to straighten the tip.

All to often, my attempts to straighten a bent knife blade have resulted in a broken knife blade. Blade deletion is not a reasonable option for a single-bladed pocket knife! No, I didn't bend this one; I bought that way. Thanks for watching! T-A

Some pretty neat stories here. Thanks all for sharing.

I don’t think I’ve ever snapped a knife blade. Not that I can remember at least. I probably did break the tip off one or two as a kid.

Now, I’ve had a few that others gave me. And I either reshaped and put them to use it used them anyways. Once I just ground the nub so it wasn’t sharp and ignored it. That was a schrade 34OT I think. It was the sheeps foot blade I recall. But I can’t recall what happened to it.

You can always send it back to case. Tell them the story. Great PR for them.

I once sent them a three blade stockman I got at a pawn shop. It had two blades broken. They repaired it free of charge. Now the $30 in shop time it cost them plus shipping is nothing to the story I tell folks about their customer service and products.
