…you’re oh so patiently hanging out at your house on a lovely Friday afternoon eagerly awaiting the day’s scheduled delivery of your brand new Large Sebenza 31 with bog oak scales and Magnacut blade when, mere minutes before it’s due to arrive, your phone dings with an email from UPS announcing that your package has been delayed for three days.

The good news, is that they let you know what is going on. It would have been worse, if it just didn't show up, with no explanation.

Good point.

It is kinda BS though that UPS is blaming the delay on the weather when there hasn’t been a drop of rain between the departure point and destination.

UPS is a strange animal around these parts. I literally had one walk up to my door, not ring or knock, and stick the damn “attempted delivery sticker” on my door. No package in his hands.

It just so happened that (since I saw him coming) I opened the door the instant he stuck the sticker on the door, informed him I was indeed home and that he hadn’t “attempted” anything, followed him to his truck, got my package, and took his name so I could tell his boss what a great job he did.

What an absolute sack. What’s the reason? Take the effort it took to write out the sticker and march it up to the door when he could have just as easily brought my package? Pbsheeeeit. Goofy.

Hope it wasnt sent "Ground advantage".....Newest USPS service is horrible....

I just had the opposite with Fedex. They kept telling me, delivery will happen on Monday, the 28th.
Was ready for the long wait, in both body and spirit.
But they made it on Friday. :)

All my orders have been delivered by UPS. Julie has made all the deliveries. Blonde hair, blue eyes, the works. Nevermind the knife or the service. If it is delayed, it means I don't get to talk her soon enough!

Once, I had to wait an extra two whole days! Two! It was Hell!

(It was my Hinderer XM-24)

(So, double Hell!)

Haha

This isn’t helping. My first Ultratech just shipped yesterday UPS with an expected delivery of next Thursday and it says it won’t update again till Wednesday! What The Actual F…?

Only makes sense if it’s on a rail car (train) coming cross country, or a cross country feeder run that won’t start driving until Monday night again.

Nothing would get scanned again until it reaches the next hub.

That does explain it. Thank you I hadn’t even considered train. Now that you mention it I was at the ballpark last week and noticed an entire run of flat cars all with Amazon boxes on them. Kinda blew me away.

Lol. I’ve been there. But like my mom always told me. There are kids starving in Ethiopia.

I’ve always had better luck with UPS. They generally stick to their schedule and stuff gets here when promised. FedEx is a bunch of animals that treat your packages like piles of horse poop - when I can hear a box being dropped on my front step from inside the house, I know it’s not being placed there gently. In fact I’ve seen them walk half way from the truck (that’s all the way up the driveway, only about 10 ft from the house) half way to the front step, and then toss it the rest of the way. I’ve also had a few occasions where a signature was required and they left a notification in the mail box without ever attempting to deliver the package. What a pain in the balls that is trying to track it down after that. Amazon is usually pretty good, except when they notify me that something is going to be several days late the day it’s supposed to be delivered. How can they NOT know that the day they say it’s been shipped??!! USPS has no idea where anything is or when it will get here until it gets here - their tracking system is total shit. They also have been known to leave my packages at my asshole neighbor’s who can’t bother to tell me (or are just too stupid to notice the package isn’t theirs), never mind making the 10-ft walk from their mailbox to mine.
