DON HANSON Upscale Folding Dagger

Snody- Don made the screws from scratch using Rose Gold. I'm not sure how.. he seems to have some magical powers. I don't want to dig to deep, because I value life. =)

Coop is correct. This knife is absolutely stunning in person. Its by far my largest Hanson folder, and one of the nicest I have seen. The gold really sets it apart from my other folders. The color and shine is incredible and very classy. The knife opens so smoothly and precisely. Too bad its so pretty that I am afraid to play with it.. I have only opened it a few times.

Thanks again, folks!

Making the gold screws is a pain, but they are are cool and only for my most high end folders.

Jon & Don,
You guys know this knife has all the elements I love in a Hanson! Great ivory, a taste of the Scary stuff, beautiful damascus precisely patterned on the blade, just enough Bling-a-ling.
Congrats Jon!!! Great stuff Don!!! Guess who called first dibs with Jon waaaaaaaaay early?

Really impressed with this one, Jon. You ask Don to bring out all of his Hanson talents here, and ended up with a spectacular piece! Love the ivory, size, newly forged damascus and all the special things going on with this. I saw the steel after Don forged it and couldn't wait to see the results. Congrats to you!

Coop's close-up shots rock, also.

Roger- The knife is 9" OAL but but looks much bigger then my other folders.. Also keeping in mind its thicker and heavier then the other ones. Wider too, in some areas. The blade is 4 inches sharpened and 4 1/4 up to bolster.

Its a very substantial feeling folder and the blade has a commanding heavy feeling kick when you open it.

VERY NICE!

The only thing I don't really like is the colored (titanium?) liners.

Other than that: beautiful!

Kind regards,

Jos
