Don't Call it a Pocketknife? Ignorance and Prejudice on Display

I'm so glad I live in the south, way to much nonsense politics in the north, now coming after knife owners, F'n ridiculous. It's not just Bloomberg, its the whole obama administration, that he is a major supporter of, that's trying to totally disarm this nation by way of the race baiting feel gooders. God help us all.

North Carolina's knife laws don't look any different than CT's knife laws, except that NC seems to have some ridiculous local laws around knives.

This piece is too frivolous to be taken seriously. He's a non-knife person writing to non-knife people about buying pretty knives. Which is not so bad. The "retire the term pocketknife" thing just feels like a writer failing to find a clever angle for his topic. Move along, I say.

I can't disagree that the article is ultimately silly, a fluff piece for a "select" audience. But the fact it had an anti knife agenda embedded in a "lifestyle" piece just kind of got to me and I raged out, wrote a rebuttal to it, and it actually got published by a small blog. I'm certainly not trying to push a website here or step on toes so if this is frowned upon I'll take it down, but here's my response to Bloomberg ' horsecrap if you'd like to read it: http://www.thetruthaboutknives.com/2014/12/being-sharp-a-rebuke-for-the-stay-at-home-knife-by-jon-m/

Figured Bladeforums might appreciate it :-)

I knew somebody would bring politics into this thread sooner or later. I live in a northern state with very liberal knife laws. It's not black and white and morons are in both parties.
