Yangdu has been burned a few times over the last couple of months and is in the "will ship when payment arrives" mode unless you are an established HI customer. When I put up the special deals I'll get a taker who says he wants a khukuri and that the check is in the mail -- and the check never gets here. We have a half dozen khukuris with mailing labels that have been laying around for 10 days to two weeks. Today they are being recycled.

If you can't pay please don't order. It is just a waste of your time and ours.

Sorry, just a fact of life.

If there's a 43 in the bunch I'll gladly assist you in it's relocation process :)

Paypal.....a khuk nut's new friend.....(except for when the bill arrives)

Hope it sorts out for you UB

Steve

I can't wait to see what's available!!!

ps: The check is in the mail ;-)

...about this betrayal of HI's trust. This new CYA policy must be working if you've got a pile of khuks already!

Sad, I remeber HI customers being the stand-up kind. As you mention the regulars still are, that's nice! Maybe we could be assigned some "Preferred Customer" numbers or something in the future, so Yangdu knows who is good fer it.

Hmm...maybe a private mailing to the "good guys" of the "recycled" Khuks available from the schmucks?

Yep, good idea Nasty. :) Then in a couple of weeks we'll see the I didn't get my khuk thread..gee I wonder why...just leave them guessing.

I shouldn't be trying to benefit from UB & Yangdu's grief....I know it's aggrevating with clients sometimes. At least they know we will actually treasure what they've taken the time to produce & ship.

Thanks again UB

I sincerely hope I'm not one of the "bad guys"....a lot of stuff has passed through my hands in the last year or so....UB - if there's anything I haven't paid for - send me the bill a.s.a.p.

For the "unpaid khuks"....you should put them up for sale and if the owner really wants it, they'll have to pay an extra $5 aggravation charge.... :D

(should probably make this thread a "sticky" - at least until the problem goes away)

do you accept credit cards bill? (for deals of the day)

*edited to add - really sorry to hear about that... i try to get out every package i sell/every MO i have to send same or next day. when the package/payment doesnt get here within 10 days i for me, it does kinda make the effort i put into the deal seem unwarranted (though that wouldnt stop me from doing it). i definitely hope the situation clears up for HI...*

M43-M43
I'd climb a tree for an M43
An i'd pay so fast
I think you'd see
It wouldn't even leave --a memory

Uncle Bill, I have to go see the grandchildren. I'll be driving from Fl north through many states.

So if you need me to collect some funds or take back the khuks, I'll take time out from my puja and get your money, the khukurie back or a severed "head". :grumpy:

;)

Yup...who needs to stay employed anyway? I can always start a knife sharpening business! ;-)

I'm really sorry to hear about that Uncle Bill:( Is there anyway to know if all of our payments have gone through? I know that I personally have sent my checks the day of ordering, but i can't vouch for the dozen yahoos whose hands it passes through from Indiana to Reno. If it helps any at all, I personally can wait for payment to arrive before you ship any of my orders. HIKV is a mother of a disease, but an extra 2 days wait -probably- won't kill me;)

Shipping before payment receipt is very nice, but perhaps a bit above-and-beyond. I don't know any other mail-order outfit (and few businesses in general) that provides instant, undocumented credit. I don't think anyone should get their feelings hurt from having to pay up front. Although being exteded credit is quite an honor.

I think probably the ''Honest Man" sticky might be
a "calling all thieves" signpost.

Maybe should unstick it.
