Don't Regret the Snark

I love cracked.com.

I ready that as cracked corn.

Ran to panera for lunch between jobs today. They advertise a "You pick 2" so I order a fontina grilled cheese (with bacon) and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. Turns out when you pick two, you're actually picking halves.

My buddy up in Chicago sent me this picture:

And said "Yum, lunch." Mind you this is a guy who got married and became INSTANTLY whipped. His wife made him stop eating pizza, go vegatarian 5 days a week, eat salads twice a day, only eat turkey bacon, no sausage is allowed in the house, etc.

So my response to that was "So glad to know you still have the testicular fortitude to be able to enjoy such a manly looking sandwhich"

There is a gentle art to sassing the mods. Lack of pants definitely weighs in his favor, as does his inability to hit a snake with a pistol at less than three feet. Ultimately though, it really comes down to favors done, and trust me, you don't want to know what Moose makes him do. ;)

tasty looking man-wich, good for your friend, seems to be on his way to recovering his 'nads

In on the cool kids page, btw WW, pulled the trigger today on a black-on-black paper RMD today, have lost 24 pounds already so by the time it gets here the 25 pound mark will be a thing of the past!

Damn! serious sandwich is serious! that looks so good.. I would have to live in the gym for a couple days to burn that one off...

In on three. Guess I work a little more than Mr Hunt.

That sammich has me regretting my lunch. Man that looks good!

Son's worried about losing his house, since his girl bugged out on him. He just texted me and told me he got a good raise today. Don't know if it'll be enough to pay the bills, but the timing is great.

Typically whenever I broke up with a woman, I suddenly had a bunch more available cash for some mysterious reason. So add a raise to that, and he should be OK ;)

My brain and body hurt all over, and I didn't even drink for the last three days (despite accusations to the contrary, I did not steal Cooper's hard cider!). The flu sucks.

I'd like to say that I appreciate the lively discussion on aikido that took place last night.

A shame I slept through it all and woke up to a new thread. Who'd a think so many beckerhads were aikidoka.

For the debate, to each his, every school practices their art differently, in aikido it greatly depends on what era of O Sensei's life your lineage comes from as to how rough out how far differentiated from akikijutsu it will be.

In my dojo we practice a fairly early style and yes, we "clothesline".

Having grown up on Japanese martial arts, my father being a Japanese Jujutsu instructor, I will Always favour them. Though Aikido has grown through me and I've probably grown the most through it, its integrated with my spirit and has become my favorite from an art perspective, its not as fun or immediately effective as judo but it's different things for different people. My baser movements have become dominated by aikido, all other techniques from other systems were achieved, for me, trough aikido 1st, jujitsu 2nd.

I spend my time practicing Judo, Aikido, Jujitsu and even BJJ; those are the family of arts I call Home and deeply integrated with each other. To each his own but the aiki spirit means the most to me.

And yes, in all listed material martial arts I pride my falling technique (ukemi) above all else. Its what keeps me safe and protects my body from harm, therefore Is the most important to me.

Snark on..

I trust you but I still want to know what Moose makes him do. Send me an email.

It involves Jack Daniels and no pants and makes it difficult to sleep if you're nearby.
