Doom On You - Knife Outlet

i have to agree with you booty...customer
service should be no.1, all other prioritites
rescinded. even if you were having a bad
day...that is not relevant. you gave your
hard earned money to a firm for a product
and a service. making up for it after the
fact is good, but a little late to be
concerned about customer relations. after
seeing ko's resonses, i will stay away
from them...

I would be very interested to see where ol' 11Bravo's IP provider is located. I would be willing to bet that it's the same as Bootey's. Perhaps Cougar could track it down and show him the door if it's true.

Bravo 1bravo! You joined today just to say you will avoid Knife Outlet?

I'm guessing Fred will be happy Not to have your business too. And if it turns out that you really are Bootey, I hope you get the boot from here as well.

I must have had an excessive blood content in my caffeinestream when I first saw that post from 11bravo ... I just assumed he was another dork and it didn't occur to me to look at the IPs. Now I've looked, and for what it's worth the IPs are different.

Whatever ... if he's Bootey again or a different dork entirely ... what's the difference ... I need more coffee ... when I'm this sleepy I don't even take any pleasure in trollhunting ... sorry.

A person who gets upset because of a shipping mistake and comes on to trash the company must be a blast in everyday life.
I'd bet he's never made a mistake. I should be so lucky.
Personally, I've decided to buy my next knife from KO. I liked their response.

I've never heard bad of KO before and from the post's I've read they are a decent company. I vote (if I have one) that we delete this thread to avoid tarnishing their good name.

I don't think Knife Outlets good name is getting trashed in this thread. In fact, I think they look pretty darned good. Mistakes happen everyday to everyone. It's how Everyone deals with their own mistakes and the mistakes of others that reveals character. Fred looks like he has a lot of character. Those others guys are simply Characters.

My MOTHER recently did business with Fred and the Knife Outlet to get me a Christmas present. He treated her well and fair. When I pointed out a small error, he immediately offered (unnecessarily I might add) to correct the problem. Fred is a good man to deal with, and he's earned my faith and confidence. We will do business again and I will send friends to him too.

This type of trashing over such a minor detail, after the problem was rectified, is
foul. To post one side's private emails is foul as well. This thread should be deleted to preserve a good man's (and a good businesses) integrity.

The Vietnamese translation (to be specific) is "Go F**K Yourself". Just for all the "enquiring minds" that feel the need to know.

Thanks for the translation Stickfighter2.

I will have to start saying "Doom on you" when I get mad.

You people who are calling for censorship can see who's right and who's wrong here -- what makes you think the other members can't?

TGBU is based on the principle of the free marketplace of ideas -- when everyone is allowed to speak their piece the truth comes out, and no one can trash anyone's reputation but their own.

Have some faith in the intelligence of the other members -- they're not idiots (most of them). They can think for themselves and they have as much right to hear all sides of any question and make up their own minds as you do.

Once again I will say: Fred is TOP NOTCH in my book. I've dealt with him several times, and any problem I have had, if any, he corrected it.

Nuff said.

Cougar, I totally agree with you to leave this thread open. Now we all know who(11bravo and bootey) NOT to deal with and who(Fred) we CAN deal with!

The more I think about it, the more Doom on You sounds like a pretty good mantra. It evokes sheer stupidity and the bliss of total ignorance. And it's Fun.

Doom on You....

I like it

I don't want to go too far off topic here but after rereading this thread, I was just wondering what kind of knife you carry when you are troll hunting. My personal preference isn't really a knife, but a Cold Steel shovel.

I would also like more info on troll hunting, it sounds like fun despite Cougars' rough morning. Not a big Cold Steel fan but it does seem that they carry a number of perfect tools for the sport. As for the Knife Outlet - I have placed a number of orders there, all of which went perfectly. Funny thing is they actually read and follow your special instructions - unless knives are always sharp, bevels even and folding blades centered?

Knife Outlet Rulz!

I had placed an order with KO and later emailed KO to find out when the order was going to ship. Fred responded and said when.

I asked if he could add to the order he said yes. So I emailed Fred what I wanted added to the first order.

When my package arrived the second knife wasn't there. When I emailed Fred to find out what had happened to the second knife. He said he messed up. Well I got the second knife today. Guess what? Fred gave me free shipping with it.

Now that is customer service! Guess what. I place another order with KO today!

Through the course of many transactions, Fred has proved to be the kind of guy I like to do business with. He may be direct and to the point, but I tend to be also and don't hold that against him. He can be trusted to keep his word, and these days that's plenty good enough for me.
