Dork Ops at the BLADE show

What could be a more entertaining show than the reanimated deanimated lurking in the super cool nightvision light covertly deanimating the animated so they can be reanimated later. Sounds like a script hollywood should pick up.

If that's your motivation then all the best to you. I just think that Dark Ops is a complete waste of time and that they get far too much press for a company that hasn't actually produced any knives for sale.

I've been pondering that before, but I came to the conclusion that - at least in this case - any press is not good press.

After all this, I just had to check out their site. I thought yu'all had been joking adout "deanimation" and "blood spray." Bit NO. It's really there. They have managed to spoof themselves.

I especially like the ground quartz in the handles for a good grip. Wouldn't ground glass be cheaper? Or carpet tacks?

Priceless.

Are carpet tacks really necessary for securing aluminum foil?
Holy sh!t, don't you know ANYTHING?

Who the hell would nail their foil hats to their heads with anything BUT carpet tacks?

Check out the newest addition (?) to their formidable tactical lineup - the flashlight thingy, NOW SHIPPING !!! , that description had me laughing even longer than descriptions of their ghost knives :D It's priceless, read it for yourselves guys.

Thanks for the heads-up, faramir, I knew that they offer a flashlight, I just didn't read the description.

A few quotes from their site...

It's patent pending striker ring at the bezel is designed to shatter glass in law enforcement interdiction activities. The officer can crack through the drivers window with the same hand holding the light, rather than shoot out the rear window as the car drives off.

Oh...my...God....

With construction of the world's toughest materials and a testing labs in the battle zones of Baghdad and south-central Los Angeles, the Hellfire X-11 has the proven reliability required for lethal environments.

The body is made of aircraft grade 6061 T6 511 aluminum

Aircraft grade 6061 T6 5...let's just call it aluminum - the world's toughest material!...yeah right...

And they have already been battle-tested in "Baghdad and south-central Los Angeles" although they just started shipping them!

It is alodined for conductivity enhancement, Type II or III anodized for protection from the environment, and triple coated with molybedenum disulfide finishing.

That's a quintuple coated surface! Awesome!

The dedicated gun modules are Class 3 anodized for IR invisibility.

Here we go again...with IR equipment you can see the guy holding the rifle and the rifle itself as well as pretty much every other piece of gear he carries, but you can't see the gun module! Now that's clever!

It will operate at full power from -10 to 130 degrees faranheit.

[my emphasis]

Check out our new innovative tactical spell checker...the best product available for combat orthography applications!

The High-temp, high transmisbility borosilicate glass won't deform like plastic lenses and is resessed to avoid powder spray from the muzzle blast.

[my emphases]

Again, a shameless plug for our tactical spell checker!

Oh and the powder spray is never gonna get there, because the lens is recessed! Ain't that great?

The replaceable belt clip is big enough to work with military web belts.

Thank God...and I thought it would be too small to attach to a belt.

Stainless Steel high conductive transmission springs reduce resistance for even greater light output!

I'm sure that no other flashlight manufacturer has transmission springs made of stainless steel...

The milled lanyard holes will take standard military paracord.

Now that's what I call innovation...not!

I wonder if anyone would be game to approach their booth with a T-shirt that said something like:

Dork Ops Covert Deanimator

:)

Just be sure you're not wearing Comm-Bloc body armour when you do.
:D
