WOW...you mean they'll be able to not-show even MORE knives than last year???????

Perhaps they are bringing two beer barrels this year ? Did anybody get any(beer) there at all last time anyway ?

I wonder if anyone would be game to approach their booth with a T-shirt that said something like:

Dork Ops Covert Deanimator

:)

Give me some free tickets to Blade show and I'll get the printing guy at the mall to make me a shirt!

Cold Steel, step down! A newer, more annoying presence in the knife world has taken your place!

Here's an interesting theory: Maybe Cold Steel is the secret Mr. MoneyBags behind Dark Ops for the sole purpose of distracting attention from themselves?

I was just over at crocblades.com and they have them listed on their site for pre-order, but the best part is they say Dark Ops Ripoffs. Great Stuff. (of course when you click on any brand it says something like XXXX brand ripoffs but hey who's counting.) "Get your Dark OPs Ripoffs today"

well its been awhile since i have been on the site. I seen a comment about the hellfire flash light in a few previous post.
Thye are real and i did see 2 of them. they are big. real thick. i forget how much they paid for them. the light has i think it was 4 nubs sticking out of the top for busting windows or self defense.
worth it if you want a big light. i would prob go with a sure fire e2d for self-defense. the sure fire bulb did fir in the hellfire so you can still have a bright light. i am just a big surefire fan. they are hard to beat for the buck

Not sure what "them" means. Croc has two Dork Ops models listed --- both fixed blades --- with no comments about "ripoffs." There are warnings about availability -- phrased with due diplomacy.

Thomas, by them I was referring to Dork Ops, the ripoffs thing must have been an error with the site, because right after I posted it went down for maintenance. It's back up with none of the errors I was finding yesterday. I even looked at Gerber then, and it said something like "Gerber Ripoffs". Like I said, I think it was an error on the site. In reference to Dork Ops though, I thought it was pretty funny.

Ah Ha! I have the answer:

Last year's booth simply wasn't big enough to contain both the knives and the egos.... so the knives simply had to go. Maybe, this year, with a bigger booth, they can display both.

:D

Please, no more DarkOps threads. This one made me laugh so hard I almost joked to death on my iced tea. If you guys keep this up, the laws of probability will get me. ;)

You mean "covertly deanimated" by iced tea. Possibly a Dark Ops product but its so covert that no one can tell.
