Double Carry EDC

At work, I rotate through various EDC folders and also carry a Leatherman Wingman, but this weekend I carried a Kershaw Shuffle in place of the Wingman because I knew I'd need a bottle opener. I was right.

If I carry two knives, which I do fairly regularly, one'll be a FB and the other a folder. I don't carry two of the same style. The FB gets the most use and the folder is for times/places where a FB might raise eyebrows.

Dual carry? I haven't done that in years. Techno in pocket, ladybug on keyring, that's two. Then there is my bag that goes most everywhere with me. GITD SAK classic, Sage 2, Buck Lancer, Ultimate penknife, and a Bark river Gunny hunter. (that's seven) Now if you want to count the blades on my Leatherman Wave and Micra, we'd be up to nine...heck I might have forgot a couple too...sometimes I carry a neck knife and am looking forward to getting my own Dogtag from Spyderco.

Grizz

In my left pocket I've got a Victorinox Voyager, And in the weekend a ZT 0561 in my back pocket.
(because of school):)
In my schoolbag I've got a EDC organizer with a SwissTool in it.
Am I the only one who does this haha?

I typically have on my person, at a minimum, two or three knives. Always a folder (whether it's tactical or traditional) and a SAK Cadet, and then sometimes a fixed blade as well:

Currently it's been my delica4 in front right and alox farmer in right rear.

If not that then my izula ii or bk14 up front or on belt, while farmer remains in the rear

I have occasionally carried my Delica as a second knife, it carries comfortably in my waistband, but most of the time stick with a single folder clipped in the RFP. I'm not fond of carrying in a back pocket, and my phone goes left front, so a knife carried there would likely end up scratching the phone.

Vic Classic in right front pocket and Buck 501 (today) in watch pocket. The watch pocket knife varies, but it's usually a lockback (501, Schrade 5OT, Camillus #2, Buck 55).

The reason for two is to have a decent-size cutting blade on board plus the various little fiddly tools of the Classic, which I find generally useful. (Not perfect; useful.) In fact, for about 30 years starting in the mid-1970s, all I ever carried most days was a Classic.

AreBeeBee, swap that Classic for a Micra. Really.

Top tip: fold the Micra out full length when using the knife blade. It's like a folding Xacto knife. Full hand grip.

The scissors can handle zip ties. And flashing. Can't do that with a Classic.

Chuck Norris carries a Micra and so should you. ;^)

I tend to carry my Leatherman on my belt, Gerber FAST clipped to one pocket, and a Gerber Hinderer as well. Then I have a Micra on my keys. I use them for various tasks working at a firearms retailer.

I always carry Victorinox Pickniker and one folding knife(Spyderco, BM, CS or Kershaw). Sometimes It is small fixed blade knife, like BK&T 14 also with Victorinox.

Cryo g10, VIC pioneer and leatherman piranha 2 in my jeans pockets. Leatherman wave and Esee Izula in my bag.

I hear you — but I have a Squirt. It's the only multitool I own, and I have to say I've tried and tried and tried, but I just don't like the feel of it. I never can unfold it easily without looking closely to see how it's oriented, and I always expect to get pinched by it when closing it.

My user-interface problem with MTs, I think, is that they're just too dense. Too many sharp-edged metal bits folded tightly into themselves, with tiny nail nicks thrown in just for grins. Plus I have no occupational or hobby need for an MT. (For cutting zip ties or flashing, I'd just get stout-enough scissors.)

As far as Classics go, I find they are indeed nearly as short-lived as you've said yours are. Mine last a couple years, and then it's time for a new one. But I accept that in a 2-inch folding knife. The Classic fits smoothly into any pocket, doesn't "print" on clothing, and I can pull it out and extract the right tool by feel without even looking at it.

As I said above, it's not perfect but it's useful for me. MTs — sorry, not so much.

I carry entirely too many knives most days.

Lets see today I have with me

Leatherman Surge (with bit kit and extension)
Benchmade 7505 (who's gone to therapy and is no longer multiple personality. She manual only now)
Spyderco Domino with blue carbon fiber weave
Benchmade 940-1 S90V & carbon fiber

And the latest two additions to the family

TBS folding Boar Bushcraft in black micarta and curly birch

As for the reason why because I want to and because I can. Do we need any better reason than that?
