Double Carry EDC

I double carry virtually everyday.

I prefer large single blade folders, Benchmade "Adamas" size stuff, but I have learned over the years, that there are some places it is unwise to open and use a folder that large in public, so I always pair them with a much smaller folder, or traditional slipjoint.

Double carry...??

I don't often go that light.

At least a smaller straight knife, my X2 Voyager, and whatever bowie i am doting on. in each fron tpocket is a smaller lock blade folder. and a handgun, too.

"Only one knife" was considered a tenderfoot move among those who settled thsi nation...still is in my book.

I always carry usually one of many 8 inch fixed blades on the right side of my belt and either my Kershaw folder or Schrade tanto folder clipped in my left front pocket.

Sometimes I like to carry both a traditional and a modern together - in this example it's a Tidioute #72 and a RAT-1:

It just depends on what I'm wearing on any particular day. If I've got a pair of tacticool pants, I'll bring the kitchen sink because I can. Generally speaking though, I'll have 2-3 blades. One "hard use," a lighter blade for small stuff, and my HK Plan D just in case. Little SAK copy as well, but I never use the blades on those.

I usually double carry. Most days it's a Spyderco Native 5 or a Kershaw Skyline in my back left pocket for most tasks and an Alox Cadet or Kershaw OD-2 with a Quantum D2 flashlight in my front left for food related jobs. With one solely for food I don't have to worry about the other being clean. I run an armored truck route between 10 and 14 hours a day so both see pretty regular use.

Standard for me is a CRK small 21 paired with a traditional like a Case stockman.

I carry a Spyderco ParaMilitary 2 and a Swiss Army Tradesman the most. I have quite a few folders and carry something other than the PM2 at times but the SA Tradesman goes along every time.

Recently I have been carrying my ZT 301 and a victorinox executive in my RF pocket, and a SOG delux ppp on my belt. Though I own quite a few leathermans I dont always carry one, but when I pick up a new one I carry it around to get the feel of it. Sometimes I have atleast one larger knife and 2 or 3 smaller ones on me just for the sake of it.

I usually carry 2 folders, sometimes 3. RFP is usually a 3.5" to 4", and in a zipped vest pocket is something smaller/lighter, and a Leatherman Juice or Squirt is in there too.

I've considered double-carrying knives before, but decided I wouldn't. I do double-carry pistols - one inside waistband strong side, and a smaller single stack via ankle carry. However, I can see scenarios where double-carry of knives would be beneficial. For example, carrying one smooth edge blade paired with a full serrated blade.

Both the DDR and Dalton were blessed with holy water by a priest. In the book of Luke, Jesus says 2 swords are enough.

Always at least two. Usual carry is a CQC8 in either my rfp or in a sheath, a bali and lately a Perrin LaGriffe

This is my cutlery of choice.
